The producer of two Kannada films 'Student' and 'Maadesha' Goverdhana Murthy shot at the up and coming actor Vinodkumar on late Tuesday day and absconding from police. Vinodkumar (32) succumbed to bullet injuries in his abdomen in a private hospital on Wednesday morning around 7.30 am.
The incident of producer Goverdhana Murthy shooting down from his 0.7 revolver has taken place at his farm house at a party for clearing the land deal. Out of fear for piercing bullets Goverdhana Murthy murmured saying 'I have done a mistake' and escaped from own farm house. The real estate dealing is said to be the reason as of now.
Vinodkumar was engaged to a doctor's daughter and marriage was supposed to take place in two months. He along with his brother Kirankumar runs a Venkateshwara theatre in Venkateshappa colony in Kammanahalli. The siblings were realtors like the culprit in the case of Vinodkumar murder case Goverdhana Murthy who owns a huge business in LG developer's label.
Goverdhana Murthy lost huge sum of money from both of his films Student and Maadesha. Maadesha starring Shivarajakumar, Sonu Bhatka, Ravi Belegere, Ravi Kaale and others was released in the month of August was made a whopping Rs.5 crore budget the producer could not recover anything.
The close friends of Vinodkumar actors Vijay, Vijaya Raghavendra, Srimurali and others paid last respect to the departed soul.
Bangalore Police has formed three different groups under DCP to trace Goverdhana Murthy who is at large.
