After Celebrity Cricket League, it's time to participate in Celebrity Badminton League, for namma film stars. Kannada stars will be participating in this launch edition of CBL Karnataka Alps and Diganth will be leading the team.
Karnataka Alps team is owned by Justin, who is the founder of a music company, Alpha Digitech. Actress Sanghavi, who has been a part of a number of movies in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam cinema is the co-owner of this team.
Celebrities who will be a part of this team include Puneeth Rajkumar, Diganth, Yogi, Ravichetan, Arjun, Jagadish, Sanghavi, Sindhu Loknath, Aindritha Ray, Neethu, Vanishree. Directors Kavitha Lankesh and Indrajith Lankesh have confirmed their presence as well. Indrajith Lankesh, speaking to a newspaper, confirmed that he will be a part of the tournament. He also stated that they have started practicing for the tournament at Vijayanagar Club under the supervision of Prakash Padukone Academy, which is owned by the legend Prakash Padukone himself.
Celebrity Badminton League will be inaugurated on September 17 in Chennai and the inaugural match will be also held in Chennai on September 18. The second Match will be held in Kochi, third match in Hyderabad and other league matches in Bangalore. Finals will be held in Malaysia.
Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar will inaugurate the event. Also, Puneeth Rajkumar and Superstar Mahesh Babu are expected to play the opening match for their respective teams.
Actor Ravichetan, while speaking to media, stated that even Hatrick Hero Shivanna may be a part of this league. Other teams that will be a part of the league are Chennai Rockers led by actor Arya, Kerala Royals led by actor Jayaram and Tollywood Thunders captained by Sudheer Babu.
