The Kannada film 'Mandakini' all set to go on the floor on 9th day of 9th month at 9 am 9 minutes and 9 seconds. This will be a variety film for the audience with nature playing a prominent role says Ramesh Surve a publisher cum editor turned director addressing the media on Wednesday evening. 'Mandakini' is my dream of 27 years. I have written many scripts in the past but they are under scrutiny by Kannada producers. Not happy with protracted behavior I am directing my own script this time with well known social servant and businessman B.N.Srinivas as the producer disclosed Surve.
Sri Harsha Productions 'Mandakini' is a girl from an affluent family in a village. She is very innocent and comes to city. When she encounter different mindset of people in her life how does she react to the situations is the crux of this film narrated Surve a talkative and straightforward person.
Rashmi of 'Dhuniya' super hit film fame is playing the title role. Chetan, Ashwin, Suresh Rai and Sangamesh Upase are the four youths who come in the life of innocent 'Mandakini'. Kalyan has written the songs and composing seven songs for this film.
Producer B.N.Srinivas is a man with wide knowledge in business since three decades. He owns Sri harsha Mahal and Sri Harsha Residency in Bangalore. He has been awarded national award as 'Rashtriya Rathna' for ISO 9001 standard Kalyan Mantap. He has been running five old age and orphan houses. It is a rag to riches story of him. He is confident of director Ramesh Surve capability.
Among the highlights of this film Surve who has written the story, screenplay and dialogues says this is a film meant for youths of today. There are six choreographers for this film, the nature is the teacher here, there is eight minutes song that will be shot in 20 districts and 40 taluks of Karnataka depicting the rich natural beauty etc.
Srinath, Pavitra Lokesh, Doddanna, Prahallad Betegeri, Jayanthi, Sharat Lohitashva, Bank Janardhan, Mysore Ramananda, Biradar, Mimicry Rajagopal, Shoba Naidu are also in the cast. P.K.H.Das is the cameraman.
