Chandrabose (Mohanlal) is a very likeable and delightful character having a shade of mystery around him. He meets Sharath (Krish) and in a turn of events decides to help a few young women to lead a successful professional and personal life. His presence changes their lives and makes them curious to know about him. So what is Chandrabose’s past?? That’s what the rest of the film is about.
The first half of the film is light-hearted with many comic situations. Mohanlal is terrific in his drunken acts and carries off most of the comedies well in the first half despite the screenplay being half-baked. Post-interval, the film loses its fizz and meanders along ultimately culminating in an average climax.

The script is certainly the main issue though Siddique does try to plug the holes with a good dose of humour and glamour. Coming to the ladies, Mamta did a decent job while Mithra and Padmapriya don’t have much to do. Meera had a meaty role but she made a mess of it. Shajon is okay and his combo scenes with Mohanlal are a laugh riot. Krish isn’t that impressive. Siddique’s direction has faded in comparison to his historic films. The music and BGMs are fine syncing with the mood of the film.On the whole, the film has a neat and watchable first half while the 2nd half goes downhill. The only saving grace of the film Mohanlal’s energetic performance but he is let-down by a jaded script.
