K. Balachander, known as KB in short and referred to as Iyakkunar Sigaram fondly, was felicitated recently.
The press met him after the felicitation and KB answered all the questions that were put forth by them. He said that during his days, it was a real feat to enter films as a director as it required struggle. But now, trends are changing and many youngsters are making their foray into films as directors and this, he said, is a healthy trend for Tamil films.
When asked if he would direct a film with both Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan in the lead roles, he said that he would, if they were ready to act.
He also conveyed his willingness to accept the role of the Principal, if someone were ready to start a college for film studies. This he said in a reply to a question is he would start a college for film studies.
Director Vasanth and actor Vennira Aadai Nirmala were also present during the interview.
