MGR's evergreen classic Ayirathil Oruvan has hit the theatres again. The film which was made almost four decades ago, features MGR is at his swashbuckling best, opposite Jayalalitha in the movie.
Ayirathil Oruvan was instrumental in raising MGR's stock in Tamilnadu.
The film is directed by B R Banthulu with the musical score by Viswanathan and Ramamurthy. Some of the songs including Odum Megangalae, En Endra Kelvi and Atho Antha Paravai Polae were chartbusters.
It is re-released by Padmini Pictures and would be screened in nearly half-a-dozen cinema halls from Friday.
It may be recalled that MGR's Nadodi Mannan was re-released last year and it went on complete a successful run for 50 days.
MGR's legacy still continues.
