The current trend is that the life stories of some of the legends, veterans, and experts are being made as the biopics. Some of the movies like Rustom, Sarab Jeet, Dangal etc. from Bollywood are the examples. Tollywood's Macho- Rana Daggubati who played the antagonist in the epic movie Baahubali, feels that it is the time Tollywood's makers follow this trend.
Rana is a hefty man, physically strong, as he was trained in wrestling long ago. Rana has been quite interested in wrestling and boxing. Rana wants to play the iconic wrestler from Vizianagaram, Kodi Ramamurthy Naidu.
Kodi Rama Murthy Naidu, the well-known wrestler is known as Indian Hercules on screen and Kaliyuga Bheema by King George V. Rana, who is all inspired by this great Indian wrestler, wants to play his role in his biopic.
In a recent interview, Rana opened up about his love for wrestling. He said, " I am a huge fan of Mike Tyson. I was trained in heavyweight boxing earlier but it needed a lot of time and effort. As my body is injury-prone, I had to give it up. But, deep in my heart, I really want to start my training again".
"I have been heavily inspired by Kodi Rama Murthy Naidu. I am forever ready to play his role," he confirms.
