Hubballi Review
by MyMazaa.comThe protagonist is looking for his identity in the first half and in the second half identifies the culprits and corrupt persons in the society to bury them in the climax. Director Om Prakash Rao is known for hotchpotch masala films with inspiration from various films. He touches on English film 'Bourn Identity' this time and mixes up with Tamil film 'Gajani'.
Who am I? The hero is looking for his identity in the first half. He is suffering from amnesia. In the process of his findings he is a tough guy. He does not tolerate any injustice. He fights like a devil and at the fag end of interval he is rounded off by the police. In the police station after serious wounds the senior cop finds that he is none other than ACP Ajaykumar. After the interval he is given medical care and he is back in 'Khaki'. The weapon dealings and anti social elements have a nightmare because of ACP Ajaykumar. For finding the perfect proof the court admonishes it. He uses his brain and gives the law from his own coin. In the final battle he requires some more powers to unearth the so called respected citizens. He approaches the department for powers and goes ahead on a killing spree. In the burial ground the key suspects are buried.
Like a starving lion or tiger Sudeep has performed in action scenes. He suits the role and the advantage he has is his muscular build and height. Rakshita has gone too fleshy. Any idea of continuing films she has to come back to her 'Appu' days in physique.
The action scenes and killings could have been brought down in the second half. A hero is hit from all directions from sharp weapons. He recovers. But the same hero when he hits others once they do not get up is the old school of thought. The present generation is not ready to accept such image buildings.
Hemanth has a long way to go in music. The instruments do not allow the lyrics to go properly to the ears. A budding music director like Hemanth can learn the tricks of giving good music and making the lyrics to hear from ace music director like Hamsalekha. The background voice is a torture to the ears. Cinematography is a tough task the newcomer Vishnuvardhan handled it well.
This is nothing but an action fare for Sudeep fans.
