Joker Social satire film written and directed by Raju Murugan is all set to release this Friday August 12th who was known for debut film “Cuckoo” which got the good response at box office.The film is S. R. Prakashbabu and S. R. Prabhu under Dream Warrior Pictures banner.The film features Guru Somasundaram as the protagonist, while newcomers Ramya Pandian and Gayathri are doing the female lead roles.Chelladurai, Ramasamy and Bala Murugan are doing supporting roles
Plot:
Joker film story revolves around a middle-aged man Mannar Mannan.Actor Guru Somasundaram plays the lead role of Mannar Mannan, who is a middle-aged man who lives below the poverty line and feels that people should have the power to not just elect their representatives but also to send them back if they are corrupt.
Noted theater personality M.Ramasamy has acted in a character named Ponnoonjal. He is someone who is angry about the injustices of the society and would resemble legendary Tamil writer Jeyakanthan in looks as well as thoughts and dialogues. Writer Bava Chelladurai and Sa.Balamurugan has also acted in important characters in the film.
“This is a film about the society. In today’s era of digitalization and development, people protests have also increased in India. The film is a story about this contradiction. Generally, people who start protesting have been looked upon as Jokers in initial stages. There are so many examples for this including Bharathiyar. That’s why the film has been titled as Joker. The film was completely shot in the regions surround Dharmapuri in late 2015.Many people from Dharmapuri have acted in the film.The trailer of the film has also served as a neat and impactful preview of a social satire .
