Mudhal Kanave Review

Mudhal Kanave - A tale of romance
After a swashbuckling debut in Karka Kasadara, Vikranth has opted to play a soft romantic hero in Mudhal Kanavae.

A look-alike of Vijay, Vikranth has come up with a subtle performance and reminds one of Vijay in Poovae Unakkaga.

Debutant director C Balamurugan has churned out a romantic entertainer set in Kanyakumari district. Seemingly inspired by movies including Andha Ezhu Naatkal, Mudhal Kanavae featuring debutante Honey Rose as the female lead, is a feel-good film.
The movie begins in Kanyakumari where Hari (Vikranth) settles down as painter for his livelihood. He comes across Jennifer (Honey Rose) and gets attracted by her.

Sequence of events reveals that she is a married woman. She is the wife of David (Yugendhran) in the same village. Enters Hari??s employer (Manivannan). Hari opens his heart to him.

A flashback reveals that Hari and Jennifer had been in love for a long time. A sequence of events leaves Jennifer mistaking Hari for no fault of him. She gets married and settles down in Kaniyakumari. Hari is hopeful that he would woo back Jennifer. The rest of the event is all but how Jennifer and Hari get united.

Balamurugan??s dialogues and M D Vijaya Gopal??s cinematography are the major highlights of the movie. Debutante Honey Rose is convincing.

The rest of the cast includes Manivannan, Santhanam and Karunaas.

A sincere and honest attempt by Balamurugan that deserves an appreciation.
