Mantra, also credited as Raasi,is a South Indian actress who has acted in a number of Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada movies. Her first movie was Grafthar in Hindi.[citation needed] Her debut film in Tamil was Priyam, while her debut film in Telugu was Subakanshalu. She is expected back to make a comeback after 7 years.
Biography
Raasi was introduced in Tamil film “Priyam”. The movie did not fare well at the box office. So she changed her name from Mantra to Raasi when she made her debut in Tollywood with “Shubhakankshalu” starring opposite Jagapathi Babu. The movie was a big hit and her histrionic talents were well received by the audience. Soon Raasi’s beauty captured attention of the industry and without much efforts she began to get offers in Tollywood.Several movies followed like “Gokulamlo Sita” and “Preyasi Raave”. The actress Raasi has acted with all the popular heroes in Tollywood like Balakrishna, Rajashekar, Gopichand and other heroes.
