Actor Akshay Kumar feels the unique thing about his upcoming release "Rustom" is a woman having an extra martial affair.
"Rustom" is an upcoming crime-mystery film based on the real life incident of Naval Officer K M Nanavati, who was tried for the murder of his wife's lover.
Featuring Akshay Kumar and Ileana D'Cruz in the lead roles, the film shows a new dimension in relationship.
"Usually in a Hindi film a man gets into extra martial affair and his wife forgives and accepts him and then they live happily. But there was no film where a woman has an extra martial affair and asks for forgiveness and the husband decides whether to forgive or not.
"I think this is the USP of the film. Nobody can deny that this doesn't happen in real life," Akshay said in an interview here.
Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai "Rustom" is slated to release on August 12.
The film will see the 48-year-old actor playing a naval officer for the first time in his career.
"I did not take to books or started lessons and learning about the rules and regulations of Indian Navy. I did not meet anyone from the Navy," he said.
"There was a naval officer who was guiding us on how to salute and wear badges, how the walk should be, how the uniform should be worn," he added.
The "Airlift" star said after wearing the uniform his way of walking changed completely.
"There is something when you put the uniform you feel responsibility. It makes you feel you are the man and take charge. I envy people who wear uniform," he added.
"Rustom" is produced by Neeraj Pandey and this will be Akshay's third collaboration with him post 'Special 26" and "Baby".
"The screenplay is really good. He wouldn't even come to me without a good story. We are making another couple of films," he said.
