'Gangster' director Anurag Basu who earlier made the superhit 'Murder' for the Bhatt Camp is looking the other way these days.
Literally! Being a regular feature of Mahesh Bhatt's creative team, one finds it strange that he has decided to join hands with UTV for a film titled 'Metro'. 'Why is everyone asking me that if I've quit Bhatts? I am still a part of the family. It's just that I needed to expand my base. Why doesn't anyone ask Pooja why she moved away from Bhatt Camp? Mahesh Bhatt is still my creative guide,' says Basu.
'Metro' deals with urban problems, a subject, Anurag Basu hasn't dealt with in entirety. He is of the opinion that it's an easy story where he has woven the real life stories in a narrative format. 'Such a subject needs a lot of drama. It's a big challenge to make a movie like this. In fact Mahesh Bhatt told me that this would be a difficult subject to handle as anything can go wrong.' Anurag Basu is a talented director who really came into his own with 'Gangster' as he delved into the inner resources of human capabilities in terms of loving against our very own wishes. But, it was very clear that Mahesh Bhatt stamp was written all over it. How he survives on his own would be interesting to watch.
