If it's anything to do with Pakistan it has to be either Mukesh or Mahesh Bhatt. After having a large number of film themes revolving around Pakistan, Mr.Bhatt was all set launch his new film on Benazir Bhutto.
The film which was stated to be a co-production between Anila Khan (Benazir's secretary's sister) and Vishesh films has now faced objection from Bhutto's husband Asif Ali Zardari .
Zardari claims that it was agreed between him and Benazir that only renowned Hollywood filmmaker Robert Redford of All the President's Men and The Candidate fame would direct a film on Benazir. As Mukesh Bhatt is in discussion with Zardari's lawyer in Dubai it is still not known whether the intellectual property rights have already been sold to Robert Redford.
In any case looks like Shabana Azmi has to wait a while before she steps into Bhutto's shoes.
