The most spectacular fantasy flick of the year, Krrish, is gearing up for a June release and undoubtedly the curiosity to watch it is increasing manifold with every passing week! And why not when the film brings together the father-son jodi of Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan who have given two of the biggest blockbusters of all times - 'Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai' and 'Koi Mil Gaya'. A sequel to Koi Mil Gaya', Krrish features Hrithik Roshan as a simpleton turned superhero who boasts of super powers that no human being has or will ever possess! Short promos of the film have done the trick and it won't be surprising if the film is at the top of wish list of adults and children alike this summer.
HE WAS BORN WITH A GIFT
HE WAS SPECIAL...LIKE HIS FATHER
And now...HIS ERA BEGINS
These line very well set the context of what 'Krrish' is all about i.e. yet another SUPERHERO flick!
The promo begins with Krrish, in his village avtar running in an open field while being attired in a dress befitting a villager. But the signs of a superhero are visible even in this case with glowing biceps, powerful running, strong jaw line and determined eyes! As he does the impossible by jumping over one rock to another on a river with water gushing at high speed, his character of someone who can amaze you with his power and take on the world is well established.
The background chorus too picks up momentum that gives a certain class and aura to the proceedings. Soon in split second motion, there are numerous shots of Hrithik [whose face is not clearly shown] getting attired in a shining black robe [watch out for the ankle length unbuttoned full length jacket] and then standing firm with his back to the camera!
Next shot is something that takes the breath away as it is easily the first ever seen in a Hindi movie. Because this is where Krrish is shown jumping from one building to another at towering heights with a clock tower in the background. One may call this being the antics of a 'desi superman' but the fact cannot be denied that the special effects in 'Krrish' are nothing less if compared with its Hollywood counterpart!
Fun continues as Krrish runs across the busy roads, overtakes the speeding cars, challenges the traffic and does amazingly well to defy gravity by jumping over everything that comes in the way. High speed action with split second shot-taking gives the film a grandeur appeal and should have the audience hold on to their popcorn munching as the scene is on!
Stamp over the character's majesty is firmly put when Krrish looks at the entire glittering city under him as he stands at a height in the dead of the night!
Being readied for a June 30 release, 'Krrish' has Priyanka Chopra in the lead opposite Hrithik who is reportedly wearing six different getups in the film.
