After much talk about the clash between Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kabali, news is now coming in that the clash may not happen after all. In light of recent, where there’s been massive public outcry over Pakistani artists working in Bollywood, word is that SRK and his co-producers, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, are contemplating on shifting the film’s release yet again. However, unlike the case with Salman Khan’s Sultan, the postponement this time won’t come due to the clash with Kaabil, but rather because of the recent furor over the inclusion of Pakistani actors in Bollywood films.
An source close to the film’s unit was quoted by HT saying, “SRK’s film is introducing Mahira. After the MNS had asked all Pakistani actors to return to their country in the wake of the Uri terror attacks, the makers are now worried this development can severely affect the business of the film.
Because of the MNS order, the makers want to push the release date to avoid double losses. Also, they can’t afford to have the movie boycotted at the last moment due to the current tension between India and Pakistan. If the film is postponed, it will be a big win for Hrithik. Both Dilwale and Fan didn’t fare well at the box office. So, SRK will avoid taking a risk like that.”
