From the makers of Super hit trilogy of Hollywood, Ice-age, a new animated movie in 3-D titled Rio is turning up. Buzz is that the producers of Rio are keen on roping Rani Mukherjee and Genelia D’ Souza to lend their voices for the film in Indian version.
Vinay Pathak of Bheja Fry and Ranveer Shorey of Mithya fame are already roped in to lend their voices for the male lead roles. Rio directed by Carlos Saldanha is featuring voices of Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway and Jamie fox in English and now it’s the turn of Rani and Genelia to add India thadka to the film provided if they sign the dotted line.
It would be a first of its kind for Rani and Genelia to lend their voices as they would be the first Indian actresses to dub for a major Hollywood studio after Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan did it for March of the Penguins and Incredibles respectively.
Rio is slated to hit the screens worldwide on 15th April, 2011.
