A dagger (short Kirpan) worn with a waist belt by Jacqueline Fernandez in the song 'Sau tarah ke' in Dishoom had Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee fuming on Tuesday.
He even shot off a letter to the Central Board of Film Certification and the film's makers threatening to initiate criminal proceedings if the song was not removed from the film. However, at a song launch yesterday, Varun Dhawan sought to clarify that it was not a Kirpan.
"We have shot this song in Morocco. It is an Arabian dagger. My brother and I are Punjabis, so we wouldn't do anything like that."
