In world of cinema where back biting and professional rivalry is an order of the day, it comes across as quite a pleasant surprise to see some of the top composers in Bollywood being so kicked about each others work.
There are two high profile albums that are slated to be the flavor of the season - METRO and TA RA RUM PUM. And guess what? Composers of both the films are gung go not just about their own music, but even their contemporary's!
While the music of METRO has already released, TA RA RUM PUM would be coming in the middle of first week of April. On asked about what he thinks of close competition from friend Pritam, Vishal Dadlani says fondly, "Arrey, he is a hit-machine! It is good to see him doing so well while delivering ever so consistently. Now he has come up with a full-on rock album. I am very happy for him.'
On the other hand Pritam too is sure that TA RA RUM PUM would be a sure fire success for Vishal-Shekhar duo. Reason? "First and foremost the two have really caught on well across age groups, especially the young crowd. Moreover TA RA RUM PUM has an inherent young look to it and I am sure that director Siddharth Anand and Vishal Shekhar, who return after SALAAM NAMASTE, would have done a good job yet again. Add to it the fantastic promotional strategy that Yash Raj Films apply, great star cast in the form of Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee and yuppie feel to the entire film, and be rest assured that the music would certainly sell like hot cakes!"
Wish there were more such supportive people in the industry and it would have been one healthy world out there!
