His most recent superhit film 'Malamaal Weekly' is one such example that went on to be a bumper success inspite of no conventional hero and a heroine. Though Riteish Deshmukh and Raima Sen were touted as the lead pair, the film's publicity or the narrative hardly revolved around them as everyone from Paresh Rawal to Om Puri to Rajpal Yadav to Asrani had a big part to play in the film's success.
Even earlier his 'Garam Masala' had as many as five heroines who had made an impact inspite of presence of big heroes like Akshay Kumar and John Abraham.
