I almost stopped going home for about six months. However, my wife did not chide me nor cursed me. Hence I am dedicating this award to my wife.'
Best Actor awardee in Telugu, Maheshbabu, could not attend the function as his grandmother was unwell. However, in a letter he stated, 'I am very happy at achieving this award. I thank all my well-wishers and fans on the occasion.' His wife Namrata, who received the award, read out a letter sent by Maheshbabu, wherein he stated that he was dedicating the award to his grandmother.
