The new team of office bearers headed by Dr.Jayamala as President is concentrating more on good work with the support of all the sectors of the industry in taking the Kannada filmdom to greater heights.
Soon after occupying the President post Dr.Jayamala with the office bearers addressed the media on Friday afternoon and highlighted the nine areas for improvement of the industry status.
Among the primary issues the strong urge to make the government of Karnataka to introduce the Anti Goonda Act to stall the piracy in the state Dr.Jayamala had taken up. The issues like site of deprived senior artists and technicians, amendments to Cinematography Act, celebration of 75 years of Kannada cinema, formation of Cinema Academy in the state, single window policy, Rs. 25 lakhs to women based films, subsidy of Rs.10 lakhs to all Kannada films (currently it is only to 30 quality Kannada films in a year) produced in the year keeping aside the remake, sex and violent films and to look in to the expansion of Kannada cinema market ' Dr.Jayamala and team is focusing to materialize.
Dr.Jayamala also cautioned the law breakers of the KFCC and said strict disciplinary action would be taken against the violators. The 75 years of Kannada cinema that falls in this year will be taken up in a grand scale all over the state said Dr.Jayamala answering a question.
The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce has got to clear some of the loans and this would be cleared in one year time to stand on its own legs said Treasurer of KFCC Sa.Ra.Govindu.
