Any heroine would immediately agree to play in director Selva Raghavan’s films because the maker is known for providing the most memorable roles of their all. Characters like Anita from 7G Rainbow Colony and the striking performance of Richa as Yamini in Mayakkam Enna are just some of the many examples. “I immediately said yes to Selva sir as soon as I was offered the role. It is known that all his female characters leave an everlasting mark among audience. My role in Nenjam Marapathillai is one such role. I may not be featured in the promos but when the film ends, my role will be something that people will talk about a lot,” says a highly confident Nandita.
Selva-Santhanam film to go on floors from
Acclaimed director Selvaraghavan has completed work on his horror flick 'Nenjam Marappathillai'. The songs composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja are already topping the charts. The film is expected to hit the screens anytime in December. A few months ago it was announced that Selva's next will have comedian turned hero Santhanam as the male lead. Now it has been confirmed that the film will go on floors on Thursday (December 1) almost six months after the initial announcement. As revealed by Selva in a Twitter interaction with fans, this will not be a comedy. Instead it will be a love story of a boy next door on the lines of '7G Rainbow Colony' Santhanam is presently shooting for 'Odi Odi Uzhaikkanum' with Amyra Dastur of 'Aneghan' fame. He will start shooting for Selva film from this week. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be rendering the music score for this film. The female lead is yet to be finalized. We can expect an official confirmation on these important details very soon. .
Aayirathil Oruvan shivering in cold
Selvaraghavan, Karthi, Reema Sen, Andreya and others belonging to 'Aayirathil Oruvan' team is now shivering in cold due to the snow in Jaisalmar, Rajastan. The team has recently moved to Rajasthan from the jungles of Tamil Nadu. Jaisalmar has come under the severe cold and hence the team is finding it tough to cope up with the atmosphere. However, the shooting ' which is forced to be confined within the day time, (9 AM - 4 PM) ' goes ahead without much problem, thanks to the hard work by the cameraman Ramji. He is using two cameras and working meticulously to finish the work within the stipulated time. Director Selvaraghavan, who is satisfied with the work being done, is planning to wrap up the shooting soon. If everything goes according to the plan, the second movie of 'Paruthi Veeran' Karthi will hit the screens during the summer season. Selva is planning to start his next project, 7G Rainbow Colony in Hindi, by June. 'Aayirathil Oruvan' has many surprises and Parthiban doing a cameo is one among them.

Director Selvaraghavan, who is directing 'Aayirathil Oruvan' starring Karthi and Reema Sen, is flooded with offers. The young director, who hogged the headlines with movies like 'Kadhal Kondien', '7G Rainbow Colony', has been signed to do two films in Bollywood. Vivek Oberoi acts in the Hindi remake of Selvaraghavan's '7G Rainbow Colony' while Ajay Devgan is tipped to play the title role in his Hindi remake of 'Pudhupettai'. Adding more, the director has been roped into direct a movie starring Suriya and Trisha later next year. A busy bee indeed is Selvaraghavan.

Selvaraghavan is back in Tamil after a gap. His ventured to Tollywood to direct Venkatesh for the movie Adavari Mataluku Ardhalae Verulae. The movie was a smashing hit. Now Selvaraghavan is back in Tamil to direct Paruthiveeran fame Karthi for Ayirathil Oruvan. 'Plans are on to direct a couple of movies in Hindi', says Selvaraghavan. According to him, '7G Rainbow Colony would be remade in Hindi starring Vivek Oberoi. I thank Mani Ratnam sir, who recommended Vivek Oberoi to be part of my Hindi venture'. Also Selvaraghavan is planning to redo his Pudhupettai in Hindi. He says, 'The movie is about the underworld and I hope it would suit Mumbai and its neighbourhood the best. We would commence shooting in Hindi soon'.
Happy B' day Yuvan
Yuvan Shankar Raja is no stranger to Tamil film music. The young and energetic music director is celebrating a happy birthday Today. Son of veteran music composer Ilayaraja, Yuvan made his debut with Aravindan. Hailing from a musical family, much of Yuvan's inspiration is said to come from the several genres he grew up listening to such as Western classical music and jazz, in addition to urban Hip Hop and other styles and sounds. Yuvan's unique blend of melody and catchy orchestration in films such as Kadhal Kondein, 7G Rainbow Colony, Pudhupettai, Paruthiveeran, Pattiyal, Kanda Naal Mudhal, Manmadhan, Vallavan among others won him acclaims. Pudhupettai featured a traditional orchestral score played by Chapraya Symphony Orchestra in Bangkok with several themes and the soundtrack was released to acclaim. Yuvan's forthcoming albums include Billa, Kannamoochi Yaenada, Sathumpodaathay and Yaradi Nee Mohini.
