Urvashi has an 8 films package

This sounds like the best-packaged deal in recent times for any budding actress. Urvashi Sharma is a model also pursuing her BSc final year. She modeled for popular brands like Mc Donalds, TBZ, Garnier, Ponds and so on. News is that this young lady has bagged an 8-film contract from Tips films through her modeling agency Elite. She will debut in a love story that will have shades of comedy and thrill. Kookie Gulati who has previously assisted Ken Ghosh on Fida and Ishq Vishq will direct it. As a child Urvashi wanted to be a doctor but this did not materialize as her modeling career took an early start. This is followed by her even highflying film career that kicks off with an 8-film contract, which is a record by itself. She is trained in Kathak and Western classical dance. She sounds ready for the journey called Bollywood!

Baabul releasing on December 8

After the stupendous success of 'Baghban', B.R.Films' eagerly-awaited 'Baabul', a family saga with a social message, is scheduled for release on December 8 this year all over. Made under the banner of B.R.Films, the film has been produced by B.R.Chopra and directed by Ravi Chopra with Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji, John Abraham, Om Puri, Aman Verma, Parmeet Sethi, Rajpal Yadav, Smita Jaykar, Beena, Avtar Gill, Vaishnavi, Gargi Patel and others playing stellar roles. Written by Dr Achala Nagar, the film has music by Aadesh Srivastava, lyrics by Sameer, cinematography by Barun Mukherjee, art direction by Keshto Mondal and production design by Fali Unwalla.

'Brothers' trailer gets over 8 million views

The trailer of "Brothers" has received a roaring response with over eight million views on video-sharing site YouTube. The almost three-minute trailer of "Brothers", an official remake of the 2011 Hollywood film "Warrior", opens with a wrestling ring and shows how two brothers indulge in an intense physical and emotional face-off. Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is co-producing the film, took to micro-blogging website and shared: "The #Brothers trailer at 8 million!!! #BrothersAreComing #august14". The Dharma Productions’ film also stars Jacqueline Fernandes and Jackie Shroff. Directed by Karan Malhotra, the film is also produced by Hiroo Yash Johar and Endemol India. "Brothers" is presented by Fox Star India, in association with Dharma Productions, Lionsgate, Endemol India. The action-packed film will hit the theatres on August 14.

8 crores vs 3 crores

The coming Friday is a battle between Rs.8 crores film 'Galipata' and Rs.3 crores investment 'Honganasu'. This Friday is also a battle between two good friends Golden Star Ganesh 'Galipata' and lovely star Premkumar's 'Honganasu'. Two young and eminent directors Yogaraj Bhat of 'Mungaru Male' and Rathnaja of 'Nenapirali' films are the hype creators as both of them have proved their mettle with novel thinking and presenting the film in different dimension. 'Gaalipata' by SPR Entertainment India Private Limited is showing 300 shows a day and it is simultaneously releasing in Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune according to Executive producer of the film Mr Dayal Padmanabhan. The film 'Gaalipata' is the first one to complete in Super 35 mm and Digital Intermediate is done for the film. The wild boar the main driving element that comes for 2 minutes and 40 seconds in 3D format has cost Rs.75 lakhs for the producer. In more than a dozen lovely locations ' Megaravalli, Manvi Dam, Kalasa, Sakleshpur, Shivanasamudra, Bangalore, Melkote, Venugopala Swamy Hills, Kasargod, Madikeri and Kodachadri the shooting has been conducted in 75 days of three schedules in three months. Golden star Ganesh, Daisy Boppanna, Rajesh Krishnan, Bhavana Rao, Diganth, Neethu, Ananthnag are in the main cast of this Rathnavelu cinematography film. V.Harikrishna has scored the music and audio is super hit in the market. 'Honganasu' by Nenapirali team also has some lovely strength in the form of director Rathnaja, music director Hamsalekha, lovely star Premkumar and producer Ajay Gowda who made 'Nenapirali' that was a run away hit. Musically 'Hoganasu' has proved its strength. Now the subject of a son materializing the dreams of his father is going to be the redeeming factor. 8 National awards to Karnataka

As many as eight national awards has fallen in to th kitty of KARNATAKA state in the just announced 54th national film awards in New Delhi. The national integration Nargis Dutt award for Kallarali Hoovagi, best children film for 'Care of Footpath', best feature film Kada Beladingalu, best Tulu film 'Koti Chennaiah' and four awards for Konkani language film (Among the four recognised languages in Karnataka except Kodava language all the three languages got awards this time) 'Antarnad' is for the first time. National acclaimed director T.S.Nagabharana and producer Madhu Bangarappa gets national integration award for Kallarali Hoovagi, child prodigy Master Kishen gets best direction award for children film Care of Footpath whereas his mother Shyjala Srikanth gets best producer award. These two are the Swarna Kamal awards. The best feature film awards goes to Kada Beladingalu, the producers K.M.Veeresh, Siddalingaiah and B.S.Lingadevaru and director B.S.Lingadevaru receive the Rajat Kamal and cash prize of Rs.1 lakh. The Tulu film 'Koti Chennaiah' directed by Anand P Raj and produced by R.Dhanraj gets Rajat Kamal and cash prize of Rs.1 lakh. The four awards in the category of best child actor Divya Chahadkar, Aarti Anklekar Tikekarfemale playback singer, music direction and best feature film goes to Konkani film 'Antarnad' produced by Rajendra Talak Creations and directed by Rajendra Talak. There were thirteen films in the 54 National film awards from three languages - Kannada, Konkani and Tulu. The top grossers like Mungaru Male and Dhuniya of last year have not been considered in the popular category. The other films in the fray were Chaitra, Cyanide, Janapada, Masanada Makkalu, Ondhu Preethiya Kathe and Savira Mettilu.

8 Croces Is The figure Puli

The theatrical rights of the Telugu dubbed version of Puli have been bagged for a reported sum of 8 crores by SVR Media. This is being considered as a good figure for a Vijay film, by the Telugu trade. Shoba of SVR Media had also attended the music release event of Puli on August 2nd. The same house had earlier released the Telugu dubbed version of Thuppakki as well and they are planning to give Puli a really wide release in the two Telugu states. Post the success of the Telugu dubbed version of Jilla, the buzz on Puli has grown even bigger and with this being Sridevi's comeback in a straight South film, the buzz has been aided even more. The heroines, Shruti and Hansika, are also hot in the Telugu market. The signs are good indeed!
