Despite Kajal Agarwal’s three new releases of this year ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Brahmotsavam’ and ‘Do Lafzon Ki Kahani’ flopped big time, her demand isn’t really falling down. She is presently doing a Telugu movie in Teja direction with Rana and Catherine as co-stars. Meanwhile, Kajal also has two Tamil projects, one with Jiiva and one more with Vikram. Adding more to her list is the latest offer from director Siva to act besides Thala Ajith. Fresh buzz from Kollywood says that, Ajith’s next film tentatively titled as ‘AK 57’ in Siva direction is going to have Kajal playing the female lead. Initially, the same offer was proposed before Anushka, Rithika Singh and Tamanna. When none of them were able to adjust the call sheets, finally it fell into Kajal’s kitty. Critics lashed out at Kajal Agarwal from very beginning of this year for picking wrong scripts and poorly written roles. However, Kajal fulfilled her wish to act besides Pawan Kalyan. But, ‘Brahmotsavam’ was a dud written all over. Kajal’s lip kisses also failed to save ‘Do Lafzon…’ This is time for revival and Kajal is pretty confident of doing it.
AK repeats AK in his next venture
Akshaye Khanna [AK] seems to be the blue eyed boy of all his producers! First there is Ratan Jain who has repeated Akshaye since HUMRAAZ and then there is Subhash Ghai, who has done the same since TAAL! And the latest to join the bandwagon is another AK, Anil Kapoor, who repeats the act for his production house. His performance in MAHATMA v/s GANDHI is the one to watch out for!" In fact Kapoor is following the growing list of producers who have been repeating Akshaye. He has signed him for another 'biggie' with a huge leading actress. That Akshaye is in control of his craft & screen charisma is proven by his innumerable hits like TAAL, BORDER, HULCHUL, HUNGAMA, HUMRAAZ, DIL CHAHTA HAI etc. And with 36 CHINA TOWN hitting the bulls-eye in the box-office, there won't be a single soul to deny the fact!
AK 57 first schedule included a dance song for Ajith Kajal Aggarwal choreographed by Kalyan
As we all know Thala Ajith's 'AK 57' crew has returned to Chennai after canning a lengthy first schedule in European locations including Bulgaria. The team is expected to start the next schedule later this month. Now we learn an interesting update that the first schedule in Europe that lasted for 30 days included the shooting of a dance number featuring the lead pair Ajith and Kajal Aggarwal. Thala's lucky charm Dance master Kalyan has choreographed this song composed by Anirudh Ravichander. It is to be noted that he is the one who choreographed the super hit 'Aaluma Doluma' number in 'Vedalam'. 'AK 57' is an international spy thriller directed by Siva and this is his third consecutive film with Ajith after 'Veeram' and 'Vedalam'.
'AK 57' shoot resumes
Thala Ajith's 'AK 57' directed by Siva had completed the first schedule of shoot last month in Europe. The team has been taking a short break in Chennai so far.Now sources reveal that the second schedule of shoot has begun in Hyderabad as planned earlier. The shooting will go on for more than two weeks in the capital city of Telangana.'AK 57' stars Ajith and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles. The supporting cast includes Thambi Ramaiah, Karunakaran, Appukutty and many others. Anirudh Ravichander is rendering the musical score for this grand project of Sathya Jyothi Films banner.
AK 57 eyeing Tamil New Year
Going by the reports, the makers of AK 57 is eyeing April 14, 2017 as it release date. The team is currently in Bulgaria shooting for their last schedule. Apparently, an investigation from Chennai will take him to Europe, according to the story. Kajal plays the leading lady, she will play a calm girl and Anirudh is the music director. Produced by Satya Jyothi Films, the team has also roped in Kamal Haasan's younger scion Akshara to play an important role.
'AK 57' rights acquired by 'Vedalam' distributor
There is a buzz doing rounds in Kollywood that the Jazz Cinemas have acquired the theatrical release rights of Thala Ajith's 57th film directed by Siva, by paying a whopping price.The film temporarily titled as 'AK 57' is being produced on a grand scale by the prestigious Sathya Jyothi Films banner. The film touted to be an international espionage thriller has been shot extensively in Bulgaria and its neighboring locations in Europe. Reportedly the team has completed 85% of the shoot before returning to Chennai on a break for Christmas and New Year.The film being taken over by Jazz Cinemas for distribution will ensure a grand release on a never before seen scale. The makers are planning to release the film on April 14, 2017.It is worth noting that the same Jazz Cinemas had acquired the Tamil Nadu theatrical release rights of the super hit 'Vedalam' which was Ajith's previous film released for Diwali 2015.
