Director Venkat Prabhu and Karthi’s combo film Biriyani has wrapped up the film’s major shooting schedules and the makers are in plans to release the movie in the final week of August while the audio will hit the stores in July. Casting Hansika as the leading lady, the film casts Santhanam, Premgi, Ramki, Nitin Sathya, Madhumitha, Mandy Thakar, Uma Riaz Khan and Sam Anderson in prominent roles in the film. Biriyani will have tunes composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Sakthi Saravanan’s cinematography. K.E.Gnanvel Raja is producing this film under Studio Green productions.
Biriyani narrated to Vijay initially!
Venkat Prabhu’s directorial Biriyani has reached the final leg of shooting schedules and the movie is nearing its completion. Karthi and Hansika are playing the lead roles in this commercial entertainer. Meanwhile, here is the news that Venkat Prabhu has initially narrated the script to Ilayathalapathy Vijay, who was impressed with it but the busy star actor couldn’t allocate his call-sheets and in this regard, Karthi has come into the limelight. Karthi, who has listened to Biriyani story, has signed up the film and Venkat Prabhu is quite happy with the actor’s performance. The film has cinematography by Sakthi Saravanan, music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, editing by Praveen and Srikanth. Studio Green is producing the film.
Biriyani left with a song shoot
Venkat Prabhu's Biriyani has wrapped up the entire shooting schedules except for a song, which is planned to be canned in Binny Mills, in Meenambakkam Chennai. The Chennai 600028 director will now shoot the song in the pin-code area of Chennai 600027. The song features the lead actors Karthi and Hansika and it will be canned in mid July. Initially, it was supposed to be canned in foreign locales but the team later decided to film it in Chennai. With this schedule, the shoot gets completed and Biriyani post-production works are simultaneously in progress. Biriyani will have tunes composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Sakthi Saravanan’s cinematography. K.E.Gnanvel Raja is producing this film under Studio green productions.
Biriyani in USA by ATMUS
Biriyani, the upcoming movie starred by Karthi, Hansika and Premgi Amaren in the lead roles is gearing up for a grand release on Sep 6th worldwide, which is no more news. Latest on it is ATMUS Entertainment has snapped the US theatrical rights of Biriyani and the distributors have blocked the screens well in advance. Biriyani distributors are also scheduling for premier show of the film on Sep 5th, a day before its actual release. Produced by KE Gnanavelraja’s Studio Greens banner, Venkat Prabhu has donned the directors’ cap for Biriyani that enjoys the music beats by Yuvan Shankar Raja, camera cranked by Saravanan while Praveen K.L. and N.B.Srikanth handled the editing department. In the meantime, makers of Biriyani- A Venkat Prabhu’s Diet are planning for a scintillating audio launch event. As Biriyani is the landmark 100th music composition of Yuvan Shankar Raja.
'Biriyani' audio on Yuvan's birthday
Southern composer Yuvan Shankar Raja will receive the audio of upcoming Tamil action-comedy "Biriyani", which also happens to be his 100th album, as his 34th birthday gift here Aug 31. Yuvan posted on his Twitter page: "We are planning to release (the audio) on Aug 31. (I) thought it would be a good treat for my fans on my birthday." The audio launch of "Biriyani" was earlier scheduled to be released Aug 15, but it was later called off. On Aug 31, an event along with the audio launch of the film is expected to be organized to honor Yuvan's contribution to Tamil cinema through music. However, Yuvan is equally disappointed due to the leak of songs from "Biriyani". "Upset about this, but good to see where the world's heading, whatever's meant to be will be. But piracy is wrong," posted Yuvan on Twitter. "Biriyani", which is directed by Venkat Prabhu, features Karthi Sivakumar, Hansika and Premgi Amaren in lead role, which is slated for release on Sep 6th.

KE Gnanavelraja's Studio Greens producing Karthi's Biriyani is all set to entertain Tamil film lovers from 20th December. Makers have released Biriyani posters with release date today [Nov 22]. Venkat Prabhu directed Biriyani is a comedy thriller starring Karthi, Hansika, Premgi Amaren, Mandy Thakar and Ramki. Interestingly, Biriyani marks the 100th musical of Yuvan Shankar Raja, who has given fantastic compositions for the music album. Biriyani makers have released posters of Biriyani release date in their twitter page, confirming the earlier slated date. This clears that Karthi is set to entertain this Christmas festival weekend with hot Biriyani releasing four days before on December 20.
