More news →'Brothers' trailer gets over 8 million views
The trailer of "Brothers" has received a roaring response with over eight million views on video-sharing site YouTube. The almost three-minute trailer of "Brothers", an official remake of the 2011 Hollywood film "Warrior", opens with a wrestling ring and shows how two brothers indulge in an intense physical and emotional face-off. Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is co-producing the film, took to micro-blogging website and shared: "The #Brothers trailer at 8 million!!! #BrothersAreComing #august14". The Dharma Productions’ film also stars Jacqueline Fernandes and Jackie Shroff. Directed by Karan Malhotra, the film is also produced by Hiroo Yash Johar and Endemol India. "Brothers" is presented by Fox Star India, in association with Dharma Productions, Lionsgate, Endemol India. The action-packed film will hit the theatres on August 14.
'Brothers' mints over Rs.36 crore in two days
"Brothers", which shows Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra as warring siblings, has earned Rs.36.63 crore at the box office. "Brothers" recorded a 40 percent jump on Saturday by collecting Rs.21.43 crore net at the box office. After raking in Rs.15.20 crore on day one, the total collection now stands at Rs.36.63 crore, read a statement. The Karan Malhotra directorial has become the second double digit opening film for Sidharth. His last year's film "Ek Villain" had a massive opening of Rs.16.72 crore. "Brothers", presented by Fox Star Studios and produced by Dharma Productions, also stars Jacqueline Fernandes.
'Brothers' rakes in Rs.72.6 crore in first week
Action-packed family drama "Brothers" has minted over Rs.70 crore in one week. The Karan Malhotra directorial that presents Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra as warring brothers has collected Rs.72.6 crore net at the box office, read a statement. Akshay is seen doing mixed martial arts along with Sidharth in the film. "Collection is an indication that people are watching your film and they want to see your film. If the collection increases, it encourages actors to perform even better," Sidharth had said earlier. "Brothers", presented by Fox Star Studios and produced by Dharma Productions, also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff.

Meet Brothers keep 'variety' in music for five movies
Composer duo Manmeet and Harmeet Singh, popularly known as Meet Bros, have composed tunes for five forthcoming movies, after delivering hits like "Chittiyaan kalaiyaan" for "Roy" and "Main hoon deewana tera" for "Ek Paheli Leela". "All is Well", "Hero", "Calendar Girls", "Welcome Back" and "Singh is Bling" have music by the duo -- and they are happy that they have been able to keep them all different. "With god’s grace we got the opportunity to work with such big banner movies. We have tried our best to give a variety in our songs, keeping the Meet Bros style common in all. "A few of those songs are already out and doing well. We hope that we can continue to meet the expectations of our listeners with more 'faraatedar' music,” the Meet Bros said in a statement.
First attempt for Two Brothers
Abhinav Kashyap, younger brother of the acclaimed Bollywood film maker Anurag Kashyap will be soon directing a film. And guess who is producing it? Arbaz Khan is taking the plunge into production with this movie which will have his elder brother Salman Khan doing the lead role. Abhinav is debuting as a director banking on his experience of working in the television industry. He has also worked as a dialogue writer for the critically acclaimed film 'Manorama Six feet under'. The untitled film will hit the floors next year and will be produced under the banner of Arbaaz Khan Production Pvt Ltd.
