In its 5th week, Darshan-starrer Bulbul is set to become a bigger hit than Sarathi and Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna. By the end of week 5, its collection, according to industry will match the overall collection of the other two films. The film is already in profit and entered the profit mode in the second week itself. The film is running in around 130 theatres now. Out of this, 50 theatres are those in which the film released on May 10. It is likely to complete 50 days run in about 35 theatres. The film has been a sensational hit in Mandya-Mysore-Hassan and Shimoga, where it is the biggest Kannada hit. In North Karnataka and Mangalore, the film is comparatively lower with the box office collection about 60 per cent. This is however much higher than most films in the 5th week.
BulBul 50 Days Celebration on 12th
It seems the success celebrations of 'Bulbul' will not stop with the five producers of the film presenting a Harley Davidson bike to 'Challenging Star' Darshan, but will continue. Prasanna theatre owner Anand has taken an initiative to celebrate the 50 days success of the film and is planning to host a celebration at the theatre. Yes, Anand has organised for a celebrations and it will be held at the theatre on the 12th of July where mementos will be given away to prominent artistes and technicians of the film. Earlier, the team of 'Bulbul' was planning a celebration to mark the 50 days success of the film. However, due to various reasons, the producers could not continue with the idea of the celebrations. Meanwhile, Darshan is busy with the shooting of 'Brindavana' in Belgaum and is expected to be back to Bangalore b 10th of July.
