Pooja Hegde: I found chapter on Mohenjo Daro boring in school

Pooja Hegde: I found chapter on Mohenjo Daro boring in school "I'd read Mohenjo Daro chapter in school and was so bored. I never imagined I will do a film based or set in that era. The younger generation is picking up history books again and are interested to know things," Pooja told reporters here at a promotional event of filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker's period drama "Mohenjo Daro". "This film is Ashutosh Gowariker's version of Mohenjo Daro. I think it will generate curiosity among audience about the story, the era," she said. Pooja, who has earlier done films in South, said she is grateful to Gowariker and film's lead actor Hrithik Roshan for this grand debut in Bollywood. "There are lot of girls who had great debut, but who had Hrithik Roshan? Thank you so much. Hrithik has been a very gracious person...He has been very encouraging. He was my friend whenever I needed help." Hrithik too was all praises for his co-star. "The first time I met Pooja was during a photo-shoot where we both had to look into each others eyes, we had to romance. I was taken aback. "The kind of courage and purity she got on screen struck me. She is a special and rare talent. I am sure she will go a long way," he said.

RGV's next based on a chapter from 'Rakhta Charitra'

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma's next Telugu film "Spot" will be based on a chapter from his own 2010 film "Rakhta Charitra". On his YouTube page, RGV revealed in a video that "Spot" is a Telugu colloquial term used for murder plan by factionists. "I will never forget the incidents I came across and the people I met during the making of 'Rakhta Charitra'. But I couldn't do even 10 percent justice to whatever I encountered in both parts of 'Rakhta Charitra' due to several reasons," he said in the video. RGV's "Rakhta Charitra" is a biopic based on the life of factionist-turned-politician Paritala Ravi. "Just like the Mahabharat, 'Rakhta Charitra' too has many chapters. One such chapter is the killing of Obul Reddy by Paritala Ravi's henchmen. I've decided to turn that chapter into a film called 'Spot'," he said. He added that "Spot" will throw light on the reasons and planning behind Reddy's murder in broad daylight in an apartment in Hyderabad. "Obul Reddy's killing that shook the entire state Hyderabad took place in 1996 in Masab Tank. I've learnt about everything behind this murder from the people who were involved in it recently. The details gave me goosebumps," Varma said. RGV is yet to finalize the cast for the film, which is likely to go on floors soon.
