The third edition of Dabangg is now officially on the cards for Salman Khan. The director of the film Arbaaz Khan has, during the promotion of his upcoming film Freaky Ali, revealed that Dabangg 3 is seriously being planned for shoot next year, targeting an Eid release in 2018.He also confirmed that the team is looking to make some changes in the cast and confirmed that someone else will also be included based on the script. Sonakshi Sinha being part of the cast also seemed to be reaffirmed when he said: “How much a part Sonakshi will play isn’t confirmed yet.” It must be noted that Salman’s Tubelight might also be an Eid release next year and that Bhai biryani is confirmed for the next two years!
Salman Khan Blocks Eid 2018 For Dabangg 3
Salman Khan is arguably the biggest star of Bollywood and has shattered many Box office records. After the phenomenal success of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Sultan; the actor is currently shooting for his next film, Tube light, which is being directed by Kabir Khan and is scheduled for release on Eid 2017. The actor has also blocked Christmas 2017 with the sequel of Ek Tha Tiger, which has been titled Tiger Zinda Hai. And if that wasn’t exciting enough; there are reports that Dabangg 3 is now scheduled for release on Eid 2018. According to sources, Dabangg 3 will have a different theme and will have an international setting. While it is still not confirmed if Arbaaz Khan will direct the film, it is being speculated that the film will have high octane action sequences which will be directed by internationally acclaimed experts. Salman named best actor, ‘Dabangg’ best film at Apsara Awards
Bollywood star Salman Khan Tuesday triumphed at the 6th edition of the Chevrolet Apsara Film & Television Producers Guild Awards by bagging the best actor prize for hit comedy “Dabangg”, which was declared the best film. “Dabangg”, released last year, was Arbaaz Khan’s first film as a producer and became the biggest grosser of the year at the box office. Directed by first time director Abhinav Kashyap, the film also introduced Sonakshi Sinha, daughter of actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha. It gave 2009’s best item number “Munni Badnam” too. Karan Johar got the best director award for “My Name Is Khan”. Set in a tumultuous post 9/11 America, the film starred Shah Rukh Khan as a Aspergers syndrome patient who sets out on a journey to prove that every Khan is not a terrorist. In the best actress category there was a tie between Vidya Balan and Anushka Sharma – while the former was awarded for her stupendous performance in critically acclaimed “Ishqiya”, the latter was honoured for her role in the successful film “Band Baaja Baraat”
Katrina or Sonam for Simbu in Dabangg remake?
It is almost confirmed that Silambarasan aka Simbu is going to do the Tamil remake of Dabangg. The Tamil rights were bagged by producer of Balaji Studios with heavy competition from other producers for a whopping amount. The filmmakers have decided to bring Simbu for the role of Salman Khan and the heroines in consideration are Katrina Kaif or Sonam Kapoor. The film is expected to move on sets in the month of May and the film is likely to hit the screens for Diwali. The other cast and crew of the film are yet to be finalized. Balaji Productions sentiment of releasing films on Diwali is continuing for this film too as they released Dhanush starrer Uthamaputhiran on last Diwali.
Prabhu Deva to Direct Salman Khan's Dabangg 3
Prabhu Deva took a break from Bollywood and acted in a couple of South Indian films including the super hit Devi. The actor who also happens to be a successful director will soon helm the megaphone for Salman Khan. After Tubelight failed to impress audience and had a dry run at the box office, Salman Khan is going back to his Dabangg days. Dabangg 3 has been confirmed and it’s original director Arbaaz Khan has chose to not direct it again after making two of the series in a row. Salman trusts Prabhu Deva who gave him the hit film Wanted in 2008 and the director is more than willing to direct the film, whether he is familiar with the script or not he would still do it because of their friendship.
