Saying that he took two months to adapt the script into Telugu, director Surender Reddy stated that all credit goes to Ram Charan for re-doing the hero role in a new way in "Dhruva". As the concept of Ashtadigbandhana is the most talked about part from Dhruva's climax, Surender explained it a lot. "The movie has an undercurrent of how good conquers evil. So we borrowed the analogy of the age-old philosophical concept Ashtadigbandhana, which is to trap evil forces. It clicked well", says the director, regarding the '8' concept used. Meanwhile Dhruva is doing well in theatres, with 41+ crores share collection in 10 days.
Heroes who make Ram Charan feel jealous
One need to have a big heart to say he/she feels jealous of their contemporaries. A Star Hero has just done the same.In his recent interview, Ram Charan: 'Not just four of us, Even several other Heroes are doing well. Particularly, I am jealous of Nani, Sharwanand and Rana because of the kind of subjects they pick up. I wish 10 heroes outside the Mega Compound good luck'.How is the response: 'Dhruva is a special film for Me. The kind of appreciation I have been receiving for it is very unique. Usually, People used to say songs or fights or comedy is good after watching my movies. In case of 'Dhruva', Everyone is talking about performances of Mine, Arvind Swamy, Rakul and Surender Reddy's taking'.Few critics say 'Dhruva' is just a copy of 'Thani Oruvan': 'We obtained the remake rights just because we liked the story and screenplay of the original. Why would change it after buying the rights for crores? I don't get the logic behind criticism. We did 'Dhruva' just because we want to present a good film like 'Thani Oruvan' to Telugu audience. And, Surender Reddy has made settled changes. Astadigbandhanam (Number 8) wasn't there in the original. The taking of the Director made the difference'.
