More news →'En Peyar Kumarasamy' New film in the block
A new production house by name Thirunallan Films is gearing up to produce a film titled 'En Peyar Kumarasamy' with debutantes in lead roles. The film is about Kumarasamy, a man who is caught between a mother who showers love and affection in abundance on him and an angry father who drains all his anger and frustration on him. This would be the first directorial venture by Ratan Chandrasekhar who has worked as an assistant and associate director for a number of movies. Music is by V. Thashi and the film has kick-stared with its song recording at the AVM studios. Lyrics have been penned by Thamarai, Yugabharathi, Tholkappian and Ratan Chandrasekhar. Salai Saghadevan has been appointed as the cinematographer and editing will be by V. T. Vijayan.
Arai En 304 - Who is the hero?
Expectations are high in Kollywood as to who would play the hero in director Simbhudevan's forthcoming film Arai En 304. Director Shankar's S Pictures would produce the movie. Simbhudevan's maiden film Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi starred comedian Vadivelu in a dual role and the movie charmed everyone. Vadivelu's career graph took a turn and went high. Meanwhile, expectations are high to know who would play the hero in his next. A section of the industry men say Vivek would play the hero while many point fingers at comedian Ilavarasan. Also rumors are doing rounds that the title of the movie would be changed to Arai En 305, since it is felt that 8 is director Shankar's lucky number
Arai En 305il Kadavul from 14 July
After the phenomenal run of the historical satire Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi, Simbhudevan is ready to commence his next venture Arai En 305il Kadavul. Quite typical to his earlier film, Arai En' would also be a hilarious entertainer. Simbhudevan achieved the impossible of turning comedian Vadivelu as hero in Imsai Arasan. For his next, he has zeroed in on popular comedians Santhanam and Ganja Karuppu. Interestingly actresses Jyothirmayi and Madhumitha play the heroines in the movie. Prakashraj plays a pivotal role in the movie. Simbhudevan's film would be produced by his mentor director Shankar's 'S' Pictures again. Arai En 305il Kadavul will kick off from 14 July in Chennai.
Arai En 305il Kadavul: Promising a laugh-riot
Director Simbu Devan is optimistic that 'Arai En 305il Kadavul' will become a big hit. Having established his credential as a director who can handle humor with ease in 'Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi', Simbu Devan is keen to repeat the magic in his next. 'It is again a hilarious entertainer starring comedians Santhanam and Kanja Karuppu in the lead roles. They are talented actors who handle their role well. Prakash Raj plays Lord Narayana, while Jyothirmayi and Madhumitha play the heroines'. 'A spontaneous and articulate actor, Prakash worked round-the-clock in our movie. He improvised the role and added sheen to his character'. Simbu Devan further adds that the highlight of the movie is a song shot in grand locations wherein the actors appear in astronaut's costume. Vidyasagar's music is another major highlight. Produced by Shankar's 'S' Films, the movie will be released this summer.
Arai En - Laugh-riot from this week-end
Director Simbhu Devan's 'Arai En 305il Kadavul' will hit the screens eventually on 18 April. Simbhu Devan says, 'It is a hilarious entertainer starring comedians Santhanam and Kanja Karuppu in the lead. Jyothirmayi and Madhumitha are also in the cast. Prakash Raj plays a prominent role in the film'. Produced by director Shankar, the movie has music by Vidyasagar. A cartoonist-turned-director, he says, 'I am confident that people would welcome Arai En....'. The movie will be released in over half-a-dozen screens in Chennai and expectations are high among fans for Simbhu's maiden venture 'Imsai Arasan' was a big hit.
'Guru En Aalu' moves to Dubai
Madhavan's 'Guru En Aalu' will be shot in a few exotic locales in Dubai. Directed by Selvah and produced by KRG, the movie is a remake of the recent Bollywood hit 'Yes Boss'. The Shahrukh Khan starrer 'Yes Boss' was about a youth, who is desperate to strike it rich in life. He encounters a situation wherein he has to advocate the cause of his boss to a beautiful young girl. In time the youth himself falls for her. The Tamil version features Madhavan, Malayalam actress Mamta Mohandas and Abbas in lead roles. The shooting is on at a quick pace and major portions were canned in Chennai. Now the crew is planning to film some important scenes in Dubai. Selvah is also contemplating on shooting a song sequence in Switzerland. Madhavan is upbeat about the movie. He says, 'I had seen 'Yes Boss' several times. It has loads of emotions, romance and humor in it. Selvah is a crafty director, who can do justice to the script'.
