More news →'Endhiran' begins in grand style
Rajinikanth's magnum opus 'Endhiran ' the Robot' directed by Shankar commences in USA today (8th September). With Aishwarya Rai Bachan playing the female lead to superstar Rajinikanth, 'Endhiran' will start off with the shooting of a song featuring the lead pair. The songs are set to tunes by A R Rahman. The movie jointly produced by Ayngaran International and Eros International, will be shot in picturesque places abroad. Cinematography is by R Ratnavelu with costumes designed by Manish Malhotra. The songs would be shot for a month in USA and its adjoining countries before the crew would return to India to shoot the talkie portions. A poster which was released recently announcing the start of filming has a metallic, clean-shaven Rajinikanth kissing a red rose.
'Endhiran' goes to Goa
Close on the heels of completing a song sequence in Peru and USA, the 'Endhiran' crew including Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Rai and director Shankar would go to Goa in the first week of October to shoot for a song and some important stunt sequences. 'Endhiran', a sci-fi film, produced by Ayngaran Internationals and directed by Shankar, started filming last month abroad. The crew returned back last week. Meanwhile, the latest buzz doing rounds is that they would start shooting scenes in Goa. It may be recalled that Rajinikanth was supposed to meet the office-bearers of his welfare association on 3 October to chalk out his future strategy following a dip in his popularity as predicted by a survey report. It is now being reported that this meet has been postponed to the second week of October once the crew returns from Goa.
‘Endhiran’ in July
Superstar Rajinikanth today met the Tamil Nadu chief minister M. Karunanidhi at his residence and expressed thanks for his presence at the engagement ceremony of his daughter yesterday. Superstar’s younger daughter Soundarya was engaged to a city businessman Ashwin Ramkumar in a simple ceremony yesterday at a city hotel. The chief minister was present with his entire family to bless the to-be married couple. While coming out of CM’s residence Rajinikanth told, actors attend filmy functions only on their own will and not out of compulsions from anybody. On ‘Endhiran’ the superstar said the film would be ready for release in July in all probability.
‘Endhiran’ story could be a tragedy?
Superstar Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai starring much anticipated movie ‘Endhiran’ is in the final stage of its shoot. Sources say that the climax of the film would be taken from Sujatha’s novel ‘En Iniya Iyanthira’ in which Robot will be destroyed. And even there is a buzz in the film sources that director Shankar has planned two different climaxes for the film. One climax of the script shows the heroine Aishwarya will be killed by the Robot and the other climax would be in reference point of Sujatha’s novel in which Rajini will destroy the Robot. But no one has confirmed about these two climaxes but there are also chances as Shankar has different plans.
Endhiran technically equal to Avatar
Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai starrer Shankar’s forthcoming magnum opus ‘Endhiran’ is currently in its post production stage and the work is progressing on at fast pace. Rajini is playing the dual role in the movie. On this moment, Shankar while speaking to media said “Endhiran is more powerful than my earlier films which I wanted to do with Rajinikanth. Technically speaking ‘Endhiran’ will be at par of ‘Avatar’. While James Cameroon took 12 years to make that film, we started this film just a year and half ago. But still people are eager to know how long we would be taking to complete this film. Our efforts will be seen in each and every frame of ‘Endhiran’. The dialogues on political issues will make the viewers think deep.”
Is ‘Endhiran’ release postponed to December?
Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai starrer director Shankar’s much expected mega budget film ‘Endhiran’ release is likely to be postponed for the festival of Deepavali or December. Dissappointing the fans of Rajinikanth, it was revealed that a lot of post production works of nearly with more than 300 special effects has to be done and even sudden plan of 3D effects will also be the reason for the the prolongation and delay of the film for a long period. On the other hand, Sun Pictures has decided to release its three movies in succession – Vijay’s ‘Sura’, Dhanush’s ‘Mappilai’ and one more project under production. So, finally it was said that Rajini’s ‘Endhiran’ may hit the big screens on the festive of Deepavali or in December.
