Guntur Talkies, the adult comedy film by Praveen Sattaru gave a great recognition to it’s actresses more than actors for their raunchy characters and bold scenes. ‘Jabardasth’ Reshmi who was trying her luck in films from the past decade, first seen her beside Sunil in Uday Kiran film, Holi, before this film. Guntur Talkies gave her a recognition as an actress beyond her imagination. Shraddha Das, Naresh and new actor Siddu Jonnalagadda also got a name for their comic timing and bold characters. The movie had a polarising opinion among the critics and audience as well.Most of the family audience who were inspired by the director’s previous outings like Chandamama Kathalu, did not like the adult comedy dished out by the director and lashed out at him whenever there was an interaction. Now this famous controversial movie is getting a sequel but this time with the new crew and cast except for Naresh. Sunny leone, the famous porn star turned actress will be seen as Hunter Rani in negative shades. Apart from her, the cast will consist of a Aditi Singh and new comer Vineet.Raaj Kumar will be directing the movie. Yes, Praveen Sattaru is not returning to direct the film. Director said that he doesn’t want to miss out on the family audience and he will try to make an adult comedy that is universally enjoyable. Writer Kiran has written a script keeping that in mind it seems.Last time we saw Sunny Leone on Telugu silver screen in Current Tega, a movie of Manchu Manoj, Rakul Preet Singh as a school teacher for a hot item number and the person who marries Sampoornesh babu.
Guatamiputra’s Guntur rights sold for a bomb
With the release date being announced for the film, the pre-release business of the film has been going on in full swing. The latest update reveals that the distribution rights of the Guntur area have been sold for a whopping 4.50 crores. Ever since the project was announced, this film has been in the huge news. 'Yamadonga' 50-day fete at Guntur
Directed by SS Rajamouli, presented by Rama Rajamouli and produced by Cherry and Urmila Gunnam on the banner of Viswamitra Creations, 'Yamadonga' with NTR, Priyamani and Mamata Mohandas in the lead was released recently and is running successfully. The film had successfully completed 50 days on October 3. Marking the occasion, the producer and director are making efforts to celebrate the half-centenary of the film amidst thousands of audiences and fans of NTR at Brahmananda Stadium in Guntur on October 14. Director Rajamouli, at a press briefing held on October 3, says 'The speciality is that 'Yamadonga' is completing the 50 days in 405 centres. The half-centenary festival would be celebrated in a novel way and several prominent film personalities from the Telugu film industry are also expected to participate in it.'
Sunny Leone not a mere attraction in 'Guntur Talkies 2,' says director
Actress Sunny Leone has landed a pivotal role in upcoming Telugu comedy 'Guntur Talkies 2', and its director says she's not a mere attraction in the film. "She plays a character called Hunter Rani, and we haven't roped her in to merely attract audiences. Her role has shades of grey and she agreed to be part of the project because it's quite different from anything she has done so far in her career," director Raaj Kumar told IANS. A sequel to 'Guntur Talkies' which released earlier this year, the project also stars Naresh, Vineeth, and Aditi Singh. Unlike the first part which was high on adult content, the director said the sequel will be made in a way to draw family audiences too to cinemas. Mahesh Manjrekar, who was part of the first part, will reprise his own role. This will be Sunny's second Telugu film after 2014's 'Current Theega'.
