'Jackson Durai' is actor Sibiraj's first horror flick and it is also the first film in which his father and veteran actor Sathyaraj has played a ghost. The film has been directed by Dharaneedharan. The film is ready for release and recently the Censor Board panel watched the film and has given a U/A rating for the film. This makes the film ineligible for the 30% Entertainment tax provided by the Tamil Nadu State Government for U certified films that fulfill certain other criteria. Sibiraj and Bindhu Madhavi have played the lead roles in 'Jackson Durai'. Sathyaraj and Mottai Rajendran have acted as ghosts in the film. Karunakaran has acted in an important supporting role. Siddharth Vipin has scored the music.for the film, which has been produced by Sri Green Productions. 'Jackson Durai' is expected to hit the screens soon.
Metro Fame Shirish and Jackson Durai director Dharani Dharan team up
'Metro' and 'Jackson Durai' are the two non-star, medium budget films that were highly successful at the box office this year. Now the hero of the former and the director of the latter will be teaming up for a new film. Shirish who debuted as the hero in 'Metro' and director Dharani Dharan of 'Burma' and 'Jackson Durai' fame will be teaming up for a new film which will be based on real life incidents. The team is planning to start shooting only in December as major portions of the film need to be shot during natural rain. The first look will be released next week and the cast and crew members will be announced.
Boxoffice! Here is how much Jackson Durai collected in first Week
Sibiraj and Sathyaraj starrer film Jackson Durai which has released last friday has only got average response among the critics and viewers.Despite the mixed reviews, the film has managed to collect around 2.5 crore rupees on the first day. The horror thriller film has totally collected 4.85 crore rupees in the opening weekend. The film has got U/A certificate and is not eligible for tax exemption by the Tamilnadu government. So, the film has to run for atleast a week in order to rake in profit for the makers.

The UK-based actress, who made her debut in AL Vijay’s Madarasapattinam is one of most sought after stars in the Indian cinema today. Her first Bollywood film, Ek Deewana Tha, directed by Gautham Menon is all set for a release soon and she now has the Vikram starrer Thandavam in her kitty. Amy Jackson says that she wants her performance to be natural and attributes it to the lack of formal training in acting.

Indian film actress Amy Jackson has teamed up with PETA for the promotion of welfare and adoption of pets such as dogs and cats. Actress, who is busy with movies in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film industries has rescued many homeless animals earlier. Amy Jackson has been a long-time animal rights supporter and often spreads awareness on social-networking forums. Amy appears as an angel in latest PETA promotional holdings along with her rescued cat 'Alfie' with tag line - "Be an Angel for Animals: Adopt. Don't Buy!" Mumbai based photographer 'Nikki Lyons' has shot the stills for PETA. Meanwhile, Amy Jackson is busy with the last leg of Vikram's Ai being directed by Shankar in the production of Aascar Films banner.
