If sources are to be believed, actors Daggubati Venkatesh and Ravi Teja are likely to team up for the Telugu remake of last year's Tamil blockbuster "Jilla", which featured Mohan Lal and Vijay in the lead roles. "The remake idea was discussed with another popular hero, but he was not happy with the story. So eventually the idea had to be dropped. Now, Venkatesh and Ravi Teja have been approached for the same project and they've expressed interest to be part of it," a source told. The remake rights have been acquired by actor Pawan Kalyan's close friend Sharat Marar, who had produced "Gopala Gopala", a remake of Hindi film "OMG: Oh My God", featuring Venkatesh in one of the leads. "It was post the release of 'Gopala Gopala', the remake idea was discussed with Venkatesh. He liked it and also didn't show any qualms of teaming up with Ravi," he said. Director Veeru Potla is likely to direct the project, which is expected to go on floors from April.
Jilla second schedule completed
The second schedule shoot of Vijay's Jilla has been wrapped up and the new schedule shoot of the film will commence from 3rd July. Major portions of the film including vital scenes are being canned from long time. Vijay is teaming up with Malayalam Star Mohanlal for the film. Kajal Agarwal is playing the leading lady and Mahat Raghavendra is playing a prominent role. Nesan, a debutant is wielding the megaphone for the film. Jilla is touted to be a wholesome entertainer being produced by RB Chowdary on Super Good Films with musical scores by Imman, camera by R Ganesh. The filmmakers are planning to release Jilla in January 2014.
Jilla director Neason talks about his next film with Powerstar
After Vijay’s Jilla, director Neason is back after two years. As reported by us long back, he teams up with Powerstar Pawan Kalyan for a Telugu project. This films kick started today (11/10/2016) with a small ‘puja’ in Hyderabad. Talking to Behindwoods, Neason said. “I am happy to finally disclose the news that my next film will be with Powerstar Pawan Kalyan. It will be a remake of Tamil blockbuster film Vedalam but we have made some changes to the script to suit Pawan sir's image. The film will be bankrolled by AM Rathnam’s banner. Other cast and crew details will be announced very soon.” Behindwoods wishes Neason, Pawan Kalyan and the team all the very best for this new venture!
Shriyas Jilla: Summer Special
It is said that Shriya Saran, the sexy bomb shell of south India, has appeared in her glamorous best in Vikram starrer 'Kanthaswamy'. The latest buzz is that there would be another release which has featured Shriya in a much hotter role. Shriya's Telugu movie 'Bhageeratha' opposite Ravi Teja, is said to have the actress in a sexy role. The film has been dubbed in Tamil and is ready to be released with the title of 'Jilla'. Recently the dubbed version of a Telugu film 'Lakshmi', starring Nayantara was released in Tamil Nadu and collected a huge amount. 'Jilla' too expected to do the same magic.
Tomorrow Jilla teaser release
Vijay and Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal starred Jilla makers have planned to unveil film teaser tomorrow [Dec 25], on the occassion of Christmas. Confirming the reports Jilla producers RB Chowdhary of Supergood Films have released film posters to press and media this Tuesday. Debutant Nesan has directed Vijay's Jilla that casts Kajal Agarwal as female lead and Mahat Raghavendra as Vijay's brother. Jilla music director D. Imman says, “Experience Jilla in Auro3D 11.1 mix in selected theatres from Pongal!..hope u will love this aural treat. Kandaangi song making video its on the final editing stages by Donmax..hoping it will be a christmas treat!” Imman tweeted in his microblogging page. Jilla audio composed by D. Imman is huge hit and makers have confirmed Jilla release on January 10.
Siddharth's 'Jil Jung Juk' to release on Christmas
Actor Siddharth's upcoming Tamil comedy film "Jil Jung Juk" is slated for a Christmas release on December 25. Siddharth, who is also the producer of the film, took to Twitter on Thursday to share the release date of the film with his fans. “Dear all, #JilJungJuk will release worldwide on December 25...It will be a very theri, Merry Christmas 2015! Keep making lots of noise,” he tweeted. "Jil Jung Juk", which is Siddharth's second production venture after 2012 Tamil romantic-comedy "Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi", also stars Sananth Reddy, Nassar, Radha Ravi and RJ Balaji. The film is directed by debutant Dheeraj Vaidy and has music by Vishal Chandrasekhar. "Jil Jung Juk" is a gibberish line popularized by comedian Vadivelu in 1994 Tamil film "Kadhalan".
