Singapore born Film Producer, JK Saravana of Tantra Films, is currently producing 'Chennai 600028' with his buddy SP Charan of Capital Film Works. His other childhood buddy Venkat Prabhu is wielding the megaphone in the director's chair. At 25 years of age, JK Saravana is said to be currently the youngest producer in the Tamil Film Industry. He has a television production house, Tantra Television (formerly known as Art of Entertainment in Singapore which has produced for local television channel Vasantham Central an award winning telefilm, 'Chakra' and a Hit Variety Series, 'Planet Galatta'. His audio wing, Tantra Records has produced a record selling album, ' Planet Galatta'. MusicMazaa wishes JK Saravana all the best in his future endeavors!
Shankar and Suriya in JK audio
It is known that director-actor-producer Cheran's JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai audio album was launched yesterday [Sep 15] at Sathyam Cinemas. Director Shankar has unveiled the music box and the first copy is accepted by Suriya. Cheran's ‘Dream Sounds’ has marketed the audio of JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai composed by GV Prakash Kumar. Directors Bharathiraja, Balu Mahendra, producer KE Gnanavel Raja, Saranya Ponvannan, Kitty, Sasi, Madhan Karky, SM Vasanth, Na. Muthukumar, Ameer, Sarath Kumar, Seeman, K.S.Ravikumar were present at the event alongside film’s crew. Sharwanand and Nithya Menon played the leads in JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai that is being simultaneously made in Telugu as ‘Yemito Ee Maaya’.
J K Ritheesh's 'Nayagan' released
J K Ritheesh's second venture 'Nayagan' hits the screens on Friday. Produced by Vijayakumar Reddy, the movie inspired by the Hollywood flick 'Cellular' features Ramana alongside Ritheesh. Touted as a racy thriller, the movie will be releasing in over 100 screens across the State. Sangeetha, Anandhraj, Sreeman among others play prominent parts in the film. S. Ve. Shekher's son Ashwin made his debut with 'Vegam', a year ago. Interestingly this film too was inspired by Cellular. Ritheesh plays an honest cop while Ramana is cast as a youngster who is on a mission to save a woman, kidnapped by a gang. Keerthy Chawla, Vaiyapuri and Anitha play important roles.
Actor J.K Rithesh hospitalized
J.K. Rithesh who acted in films like ‘Kanal Neer’, ‘Nayagan’ and ‘Penn Singam’ complained of chest pain when going to the gym for workout and was rushed to a private hospital where he is in intensive care. The Nadigar Singam treasurer Karthi visited the hospital to know the status and the doctors had informed that he has a heart condition. J.K.Rithesh was a member of the DMK and then switched allegiance to ADMK and recently campaigned for Karunaas in the Thiruvudanai constituency. He has also been very active in the Nadigar Sangam and also participated in the Star Cricket.
Meera Jasmine's close shave in J&K
Meera Jasmine had a close shave at Jammu and Kashmir when the car in which she was traveling to her shooting spot was pelted with stones by an angry mob who was staging a protest over the Amarnath Shrine issue in the valley. The actress had been to Jammu & Kashmir to shoot for a Telugu movie along with Jagapthi Babu. The crew had been on separate cars to the shooting spot on Wednesday night. Unfortunately the car in which Meera Jasmine was traveling was surrounded by a mob shouting angry slogans against the Jammu & Kashmir government and attacked it with stones. Meera cried for help and police personnel rushed to the spot and rescued her. They then helped her get back to the hotel. The shooting, as a result was halted and the whole crew had to return back to Hyderabad.
Balaiah's special gift to JK Bharavi
It is a common phenomenon that big stars used to give special gifts to some key persons of the film unit whenever they bag a hit. Earlier, Nagarjuna gave a three-bed room deluxe flat to JK Bharavi as a special gift after the success of 'Sri Ramadasu'. Likewise, there was a gossip that Pawan Kalyan gifted away a costly diamond necklace to Parvati Melton after the success of 'Jalsaa'. Now, it was the turn of JK Bharavi. It is reliably learnt that Balakrishna purchased a palatial three bedroom flat in Film Nagar and there was big rumour doing rounds that he had purchased the building only to be given away as gift to JK Bharavi. It is worth mentioning here that Balakrishna had no notable hits to his credit for the past five years. His latest flick, 'Pandurangadu', the remake of a successful devotional film 'Panduranga Mahatmyam' is all set for release on May 28. There were high expectations on the film and according to sources in the film unit, the film would be a bigger hit than 'Annamayya' and 'Sriramadasu'. In this backdrop, the purchase of a building by Balakrishna raised many an eyebrow and it was almost sure that he had bought it only to gift it away to someone in the film unit in general and JK Bharavi in particular.
