Upcoming small budget film 'With Luv...Tumhara' may as well create a record for itself in terms of featuring number of actors making a comeback with the film. While leading lady Preeti Jhangiani has much to look forward to this film after her central protagonist act in 'Chand Ke Paar Chalo' went unnoticed early this year, the film's leading heroes too would be pining their hopes on the film. Parvin Dabbas would be appearing in his first mainstream lead hero role after acting in films like 'Monsoon Wedding', 'Muskaan', 'Lakshya', 'Kuch Meetha Ho Jaaye' and 'Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Maara' to name a few. Also making a comeback would be Nakul Vaid who gained a lot of appreciation for his small act in 'Ab Tak Chappan' [as Nana Patekar's junior] but good projects still didn't fall in his lap. Both Parvin and Nakul have a lot to look forward to when 'With Luv..Tumhara' releases. This is not all as 2 more females looking at making a comeback with the film would be Anupama Verma and Moushmi Chatterjee! Anupama's last release has been 'Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav' [2005] and it has been a good year and a half since she was seen last on the big screen. On the other hand Moushmi Chatterjee's last big project was 'Na Tum Jano Na Hum' [2002] after which she has been seen in released-today-gone-tomorrow films like 'Hum Kaun Hain' [2004] and 'Jalwa - Fun In Love' [2005]. With its entire principal starcast looking forward to a comeback, 'With Luv...Tumhara' would indeed need a lot of love from the audience to make a mark for itself!
'With Luv...Tumhaara' and 'Babul' based on similar theme?
Believe it or not but 'With Luv...Tumhaara' [which releases this Friday] and 'Babul' [which come next Friday] are based on a similar theme! Yes, that's indeed right. The world knows about 'Babul' being a story of a father-in-law [Big B] who wants his daughter-in-law [Rani Mukherji] to marry another guy [John Abraham] after his son's [Salman Khan] death. Now picture this - apparently the storyline of 'With Luv...Tumhaara' also comes quite close as it too has a father-in-law [Sharat Saxena] who wants his daughter-in-law [Preeti Jhangiani] to marry another guy [Pravin Dabas] after his son's [Nakul Vaid] death. Surprised? But then that is indeed true! Though looking at the credentials of the two films, the scale on which they have been shot is pretty much contrasting. Also, while 'Babul' is centered on Big B's character, 'With Luv...Tumhaara' has Preeti Jhangiani and Pravin Dabas holding center stage. Also, the screenplay of the two films is bound to be different though it would be interesting to catch both the films to realize the actual similarities in presentation, if any!
Kamal Nathani saysWith Luv Tumhara
Kamal D Nathani has assisted the likes of Sai Paranjpe on classics like 'Chashme Baddoor' and 'Katha'. He is also a part of another middle of the road cinema 'Saath Saath' that is best remembered for a fabulous music score. After spending several years in television, he is making a foray in Hindi cinema with 'With Luv Tumhara'. This film stars Parvin Dabas, Preeti Jhangiyani and Anupama Verma. And it has already impressed with a few fantastic songs composed by Sudeep Banerjee. Nathani is hopeful that his film will do down well with people who like 'good clean cinema'. His intentions are in the right place but with a limited release, Nathani can only look forward to some critical acclaim if at all the film merits it. 'With Luv Tumhara' releases today in a mere five cinemas in Mumbai. Is it the 'Dhoom 2' effect'.Or something else'.
Preeti-Pravin Bank on With Luv Tumhara
Preeti Jhangiani, Anupama Verma and Praveen Dabas. Now that doesn't make a smashing cast of a Bollywood film. But then the makers of 'With Luv Tumhara' are claiming that their film is different and the shooting in the picturesque of Manali is different from anything seen before. The film is slated for a release on November 17th. Preeti Jhangiani had a smashing start with 'Chui Mui Si Ladki Hai' video for Rajshri Music more than a decade ago. She consolidated her position with a debut in Aditya Chopra's 'Mohabbatein' opposite Jimmy Sheirgill. She is a decent actress but the skin show in a B grade non-starter 'Chahat' didn't do anything to give a positive vive to her image. Pravin Dabas on the other hand is riding high on the success of 'Khosla Ka Ghosla' where he essayed his role competently. And in spite of veterans like Anupam Kher and Boman Irani, he left a mark. It remains to be seen if 'With Luv Tumhara' takes the careers of Praveen and Preeti ahead or will it be a wasted effort'.

Luv U Alia in Three Languages
Indrajit Lankesh directed film Luv U Alia will be the first film of Crazy Star Ravichandran to release in three languages since Shanti Kranti more than 20 years ago. Ravichandran had made and released Shanti Kranti in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. The Hindi version was not released. Indrajit has made Luv U Alia in Kannada, Telugu and Hindi. After a long time a Ravichandran film in another language other than Kannada will be seen. The film is slated for release on Ganesha Chaturti on September 17 this month. The Telugu and Hindi versions will release one week later. Indrajit has lined up a long list of top actors for the film. Apart from Ravichandran, the film has Bhoomika, Ravishankar, Chandan, Nikesha Patel, Sadhu Kokila, Sunny Leone and others. Indrajit said that after this film Ravichandran will have a huge transformation just like Amitabh Bachchan had after KBC. "Roles that were written for Amitabh like Pa and others will be written for Ravichandran. He is set on a new trajectory now," he said.
