Right from the day the first look was out, Virinchi Varma's 'Majnu' has been seen as a new-age film. The teaser, released today, only reinforces this. Watching Nani getting melancholic while listening to Maestro Ilaiyaraja's 'Prema ledani.. Premincha radani'' is absolutely entertaining. He is, on the face of it, out to get the laurels for being an incorrigible natural. It's natural, as they say. Peppered with visuals of Anu Emmanuel, the teaser hints at coming with an authentic rom-com. High on the success of KVPG and Gentleman this year, Nani is all set for this third. The movie will hit the screens in September (announced with an 'vacchetunna' by Nani himself . Directed by Virinchi Varma of Uyyala Jampala fame, Nani is paired up with Anu Emmanuel (of Mollywood) and Riya Ludhani, a Mumbai-based model. The first look had Nani smiling in his quintessential style. Gesturing at a teddy, he wore a tee with the words 'Ori nee veshalu' written on it. An old-style gramophone completes the charm. While music is by Gopi Sundar, the cinematography is by Gnanasekhar. It is produced by Anandi Arts and Keva Movies.
'Majnu' audio release date confirmed
The audio of Nani-starrer 'Majnu' will be released on Sept 4, while the film will hit the screens later that month. The rom-com is currently in post-production phase. "The songs 'Kallu moosi teriche lope.. gundeloki cherave..' and 'Oye meghamala..' have been released and they are getting a very good response", the makers say. The film has music by Gopi Sundar. It is produced by Anandi Arts and Keva Movies. "Gnanasekhar, who has cranked the camera for films like 'Kanche' and now 'Gautamiputra Satakarni', and Prawin Pudi, who has edited films like 'Attarintiki Daredi', 'Soggade Chinni Nayana', and 'S/o Sathyamurthy' are special assets of our film. Anu Emmanuel and Priya Sri are going to be introduced through our film. Vennela Kishore, Sathya Krishna, Posani Krishna Murali, Sapthagiri, Sathya, Shivannarayana, Raj Madiraj, Keshavdeep, Anupama, Manisha and others are part of the cast. SS Rajamouli, who has taken Tollywood to international heights, is playing a special role in our movie", the makers have said. Vennela Kishore, Sathya Krishna, Posani Krishna Murali, Sapthagiri, Sathya, Shivannarayana, Raj Madiraju, and others are part of the cast. "'Ashta Chamma' and 'Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy' were released in September. 'Majnu' too will be a big hit", the makers say.
Majnu censor done release date made final
'Majnu' was censored moments ago and certified with U/A. The movie will hit the screens on Sept 23. Nani awaits his third release this year, whereas Priya Sri and Anu Emmanuel are out to test their luck. Majnu Sinks Further Low
More than critic reviews and media publicity, the verdict from audience or say word of mouth publicity is going to be final driving force behind success or failure of a film in its total run. Despite getting better ratings from a section of biased media, Nani’s ‘Majnu’ is reported to be struggling in domestic and overseas markets owing to weak talk and less turn out of audience at booking counters. Of course, lack of promotions is also a reason behind Natural Star’s image scaling down but ‘Majnu’ is still rated as a film not on par with quality entertainment standards managed by ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’ or ‘Gentleman.’ Producer P Kiran having sold the distribution and satellite rights of the movie at whopping prices during the pre release times is sitting calm while buyers are seriously to suffer. Nani made it a habit to touch half million mark in the US market for each and every of his movie. Unfortunately, ‘Majnu’ sunk to lowest of the lows as it managed to score $444K till Thursday. With ‘Hyper’ bargained on better reviews and mass tinge, this could be the full stop for ‘Majnu’ and this is first movie from Nani in recent times faring less than half million dollars.
Nani's "Majnu" arrival date confirmed?
Apparently the unseen competitor for all the heroes in September is none other than hero Nani. After enthralling audiences with two flicks this year already, he's coming up with third one now. Directed by Virinchi Varma, Nani's "Majnu" got its release date fixed if we have to believe the trade circuits. Actually Nani is uncertain about release date all these days, but now September 16th is said to be the locked date. With Janata Garage arriving on 2nd, others like Inkokkadu, Eedu Gold Ehe and Premam planned for 9th, Nani picked this ideal date. Audio of the film scored by Gopi Sundar will be releasing on 26th August and released date will be confirmed then.
