Duniya film got both Vijay and Loose Maada Yogish fame. After that film both Loose Maada Yogish and Vijay are acting together in Kariya Kanbitta after seven years. Just like for the role of Loose Maada, Kavitha Lankesh wanted a natural look for Vijay too. Usually a typical Gowda in a village is shown very rich, in fancy clothes and big moustache. But in Kariya Kanbitta is at his natural best! Vijay being a meticulous actor postponed getting a manicure, pedicure and even his teeth polished as he wanted to look a little rough around the edges. Kavitha has worked with Vijay in Awwa and at that time Vijay had acted in one super hit film ‘Duniya’, from then to now Vijay has acted in many films, but Kavitha says he is still the same simple and warm human being.
Srihari paired with Manasa in "Hanumanthu"
Real Star Srihari is producing and acting in his next film titled 'Hanumanthu'. He is paired with Manasa and Pinky Sarkar, Madhu Sarma are other two heroines in the film. Chandra Mahesh is directing the film and music is scored by Vandemataram Srinivas. Shooting of the film is going on at Annapoorna Studios and during the press meet - Producer and Hero Srihari spoke at length about the film - "The main theme of the film is Win of Good over Bad and making such a good film is really a dream project for me. Chandra Mahesh direction, Srinivas's music and Vijaykumar's Photography are highlights of the film. The technical crew is going to be really an asset for this film. There are five songs in the film and picturization of 3 songs have already been completed. This film will prove to be a milestone in the careers of all the unit members. Myself, K.R. Vijaya, Vijaya Chandar, Pradeep Rawat are the powerful characters in the film along with one more character. It will be thrilling to know who it is going to be on the silver screen. Shooting of 75% of talkie is completed and audio will be released in April and the film will release in May." Director Chandra Mahesh said, "I feel very happy that I got an opportunity to direct such a good film." Senior Actress K.R. Vijaya said, "I am doing as Srihari's grandmother, which is an important role in the film." Vijaya Chandar is also playing an important role in the film and he said that it would be a challenge for him to play such a character. Ace cinematographer Mankada Ravi Varma passes away
Ace cinematographer and National Award winner Mankada Ravi Varma has passed way on Monday in Chennai due to Alzheimer’s. He is 84 years old. He worked with noted film directors like Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Aravindan and PN Menon. He has won two National Awards one for Adoor Gopalakrishnan’s Swayamvaram in 1972 and in 2000 for his documentary Kalamandalam Gopi. A special jury award was also given his own film, Nokkukuthi, which is based on a poem written by Malayalam poet, M Govindan in 1984. Varma is always been closely attached with cinemas. May his soul rest in peace!
