The melody for the ears and visual treat for the eyes was a pleasant package to the media and guests who watched the screening of five songs of K.E.Chennagangappa's 'Chickamagalura Chikkamallige'. K.Kalyan lyricist cum music director and cameraman J.G.Krishna got all round applause for a splendid job. On Monday evening producer Ashwath and Ramachandra of 'Chickmagalura Chikkamallige' arranged for the song screening at Rejoyz Digital auditorium in Malleawaram Bangalore. Veteran actor C.R.Simha hoped that cameraman JG Krishna would get a national award for the cinematography of this film. Director of this film is very passionate film maker. He loves every scene like a kid. This is going to be a new experience for the audience feels Simha. Some of the exotic locations ' mountains, rivers, falls and thick forest range discovered in the Dakshin Kannada region for the first time for shooting by director Chennagangappa before the start of the film has been very helpful and for the same director's 'Nannaseya Hoove' I got the state award for my work remembered the humble J.G.Krishna. Director Chennagangappa using the fresh talent has made a new attempt instead of banking on already existing talent. The audio houses showing scant respect to new talent Chennagangappa explained in his welcome address on Monday evening. 'Chickmagalura Chickmallige' is technician's cinema and main stress is on music and cinematography he said. Music director cum lyricist Kalyan has given opportunity to new talents like Chinmayi, Nitin Rajaram Shastry, Shruthi Srinath, Aishwarya (Kalyan's wife), Priyadarshini Ram. Badariprasad and Ajay Warior are the only established singers of this film. Kalyan urged the audio cassettes Companies to come forward and protect the talent hunt made for this cinema. Radhika Gandhi, Shravanth play lead roles in this film.

Well known singer Padma Shri K S Chitra celebrates her birthday on the 27th of July. Born in a musical family in Trivandrum, she got her first lessons under the aegis of her father, the late Krishna Nair. She has also been honored with a Padmashree from the Government of India.
