Dia Mirza freezes in the cold

Recently while shooting an item number for her good friend Ashu Trikha's film 'Zindagi Tere Naam' in Jaipur, Dia Mirza had a tough time as the temperature was as low as 2 degree Celsius. The song was being shot at Sisodia Gardens in Jaipur for almost four nights. While the remaining crew was dressed up in warm clothes, skimpily dressed Dia had to run for cover as soon as the shot got over. The breeze was very cold but still Dia continued with the shot as Ashu is not only her dear friend but also the director of her first film Deewanapan. That was the first time she faced the camera and so she is ready to repay him. Now that's what true friendship means.

Diya Mirza's petulance with Bollywood

"Bollywood appreciates only successful films of actors, but not their talents" says actress Diya Mirza who is quite discomfited on this factor with Hindi Film industry. Despites possessing good potentials and of course, the enchanting looks, Diya Mirza hasn't witnessed success in any flicks of her entire career. With her recent venture with 'Krazzy 4' turning out to be more pathetic in box office, Diya has all her hopes in her forthcoming release, 'Bits and Pieces' with Rahul Bose in lead role. Speaking on her life in Bollywood, Diya Mirza says, "I was more gleeful in my earlier days of Bollywood with big banners and actors. With most of those films not doing well, I was despaired as industry didn't recognize my potentials, but the flops". Much before commencing her career in film industry, Diya Mirza was felicitated with the title of 'Miss Asia Pacific Beauty Pageant 2000'. She made her debut in Gowtham Menon's Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein starring opposite Madhavan. The film was quite moderate in collection at box-office while her following films Deewaanapan, Tumko Naa Bhool Paayenge and Tehzeeb flunked' It is notable that in seven years of her career in Bollywood, Diya hasn't been favored with at least one successful film. Her forthcoming flick 'Bits and Pieces' was supposed to hit the screens by last years and it's still waiting for release. However, Diya is quite confident about scoring high with handful of projects Acid Factory, Johnny Mastana, Alibaug, Kaun Bola and Kisaa'

Dia Mirza would love to team up with Vidya Balan

Producer-actress Dia Mirza is busy casting for three films being made under her banner and says she would love to work with "Kahaani" actress Vidya Balan. She co-owns production house Born Free Entertainment along with her beau, businessman Sahil Sangha, and actor Zayed Khan. "Love Breakups Zindagi" was their first venture. "Vidya is someone who I would love to cast in the film. She is a dear friend with a great temperament. She is an easy person to be with and is a powerhouse performer," Dia said in an interview. Her wish list doesn't end on Vidya. Adding more names, she said: "I would love to work with Huma Qureshi and Richa Chadda - they are very talented actors." Talking about the status of three projects, Dia said: "We are in the process of developing three films.” “We will start filming in October. We have invested a year-and-a-half in scripting. It is everything that we stand by...All three will release mid next year," she said. The common thread between the three films is “universal human stories”. "They are all human interest stories. If I had to streamline the genre, I would say each one of them is coming-of-age stories. The milieu of the characters is different. I am excited about the quality of writing. Each writer was given a-year-and-a-half. It has been an exciting and exasperating process," she said. Filmmaking is different from narrating good stories on celluloid. "A lot of us are in a hurry to just make a film. I was clear that whatever I do, it should take care of everything. The priority was story. I wanted to tell unique stories," she said. The actress also added that she is not keen on acting in her films. "I will not take up any role, if the film does not need me," she said.
