ATS Chief and head of AA Khan & Associates says, "Piracy is a serious offence and one which is rampant within major parts of the city. We along with Mumbai Police are dedicated to the cause of arresting the increase of such activities. People need to remember that besides denying the creators of the content their fair share, the proceeds from such sales fund several illegal activities including terrorism in India and abroad." Aamir Khan lodges complaint with Mumbai police
Bollywood star Aamir Khan has registered a complaint with the Mumbai police in the wake of a defamatory campaign against him on social networking website Facebook. The "malicious messages are wrong and baseless", he has said. Aamir Saturday met Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria and Joint commissioner (law and order) Sadanand Date. The officials have assured swift investigation and action. The Cyber Cell of the Crime Bureau will investigate the case, said an official statement. Aamir made his TV debut with "Sataymev Jayate" (SMJ) in May 2012 and the show, dealing with sensitive social issues like female feticide, domestic violence and child abuse, received a warm welcome from the TV viewers after it went on air on Star Plus. Some of the episodes dealing with female feticide and malpractices in medical field recorded the highest ratings. He launched the second season March 2 on STAR India channels with a sensitive issue of rape, and the second episode, beamed Sunday, talked about police force. It has been alleged in the messages on social networking site that that when at the end of the show, Aamir asks for donations for Humanity Trust, the money is used for masjid construction assistance and placement assistance for Muslim youth. Aamir took to his Facebook page and clarified that he is associated with Humanity Trust, Hanspukur, West Bengal, not the other Humanity Trust. "False and malicious messages are circulating through various electronic media. including WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter and other social media networks, alleging that donations are being sought in my television program 'Satyamev Jayate' Season 2, in relation to an entity by the name of Humanity Trust, which is claimed to be working in the field of Masjid Construction Assistance and placement assistance for Islamic youngsters. This is entirely false," Aamir said in his March 7 post on https://www.facebook.com/aamirkhan.com. "I would like to clarify that 'Satyamev Jayate', in Season 1 was associated with Humanity Trust, Hanspukur, West Bengal, a charitable hospital run by Ajoy Mistry and his mother Subhashini Mistry. Humanity Trust, Hanspukur, West Bengal, is doing excellent work in the field of health care and provides free medical facilities to the poor. More information can be found on their website www.humanityhospital.org and our websitehttp://www.satyamevjayate.in/every-life-is-precious/humanity-trust.aspx. " "Please note that Humanity Trust, Hanspukur, has nothing to do with Humanity Trust referred to in the malicious messages. I would like to clarify that all donations sought in SMJ are used and channelized for entirely deserving and secular causes, contrary to the content of the highly mischievous/malicious insinuations in the messages, being circulated by vested and unscrupulous interest." "These malicious messages are entirely false, wrong and baseless. I categorically deny that SMJ has anything to do with Humanity Trust as stated in the malicious messages or that we have called for donations in the name of the said entity. I urge the members of the public to disregard the said malicious message," he wrote. He also urged viewers to seek information on all NGOs featured on the show on websitewww.satyamevjayate.in. "Spread the love guys," he wrote.
Mumbai trains could be painted for EK CHALIS KI LAST LOCAL
If you stay in Mumbai and travel by local trains there, chances are that you would be having one 'colorful' experience soon! Courtesy, Sanjay Khanduri! In a unique promotional strategy and an intense marketing drive, there are speculations that some of the trains at handpicked railway routes may be painted with the promotional material of Abhay Deol-Neha Dhupia starrer EK CHALIS KI LAST LOCAL. Is that true? "That's right", says debutant director Khanduri, "We are toying with the idea of painting the trains and are currently looking at options while getting the right permissions. Since the film revolves around a missed train and has a local train forming the backdrop of the film, as is obvious through the film's title, we thought that it would be a good idea to use this forum for the promotion of the film." "Also, since the film is based in Mumbai and the subject would come quite naturally to the Mumbaikars, we are looking at going all out with the buzz and hype in the city", he adds, "There is a certain flavor that the city of Mumbai brings, hence it is imperative that when a subject revolves around a missed local train, we make the audience aware about what they are going to get from the film." So when does that happen? "The film is coming on April 20th so a few days before that we should be having the permissions in place while the painters do their job. Rest assured, you would be enjoying yourself with one colorful ride the next time you board a local in Mumbai," he signs off!

The film gives each ace director an opportunity to interpret Mumbai, one of the most dynamic, prosperous and vivacious cities of the world in their own special style. At times stark, sometimes comical, and equally cynical, and hopeful, the diverse visions that they portrayed captures the complexities of the 60 million people that have been drawn to India's dream factory, where struggling for survival is the main pastime! 'Mumbai Meri Jaan' to be set free on August 22
The time cannot be riper for this film to hit the cinema halls. The core subject of the movie is based on the Mumbai serial train blasts of July 11, 2006. When the country is yet to come in terms with the recent back to back multiple bomb blasts in two major cities, the message that 'Mumbai Meri Jaan' tries to put across will gain more significance. The film directed by Nishikant Kamat and produced by Ronnie Screwala for UTV Motion Pictures will be released on August 22. Nishikant is the same man who called the shots for the fabulous film 'Dombivli Fast'. Paresh Rawal plays one of the important characters of the film. We have seen this versatile actor play all kinds of roles with maximum perfection in the past. In this movie he will be for the first time appearing with a moustache which he grew just for the role of a police officer on the verge of retirement. To give the character the look which the director wanted, Paresh Rawal even went on to loose 15 kilos and will be looking much thinner. The unpleasant days after the serial bomb blasts ripped through the city of dreams and the impact it had on the life of different people coming from different backgrounds forms the story. An aggressive reporter, a patriotic corporate man, a retiring policeman, a rookie cop, an unemployed youth and a coffee-vendor are the leading characters. How the bomb blasts makes significant changes in all these characters lives and how they cope up with the consequences that sometimes brings the best and sometimes the worst in them are shown in the film. R.Madhavan, Soha Ali Khan, Irrfan Khan and K.K.Menon play some of the characters. The cinematography is by Sanjay Jadhav, story, dialogue and lyrics are by Yogesh Vinayak Joshi, Amit Pawar is the editor and the music has been scored by Sameer Phaterpekar. Watch out for this realistic story of ordinary people set in one extraordinary circumstance.
Mumbai Stories Reality Really Bites
Tripping down with clich©d comedy, romance and action based Bollywood flicks should have really chafed down our spirits. Merely, film critics miffed up putting concentric verdicts ' Beating the same bush with not more than 2 stars. Well, Bollywood witnessed aspiring filmmakers striking their best chords with realistic Mumbai based themes. Mumbai ' Cosmopolitan City vividly did experience the best and worst aspects: be it changing phase of commercialization or the woe-stricken bomb-blasts leading to pitiable scenarios. Precisely, certain filmmakers strode on these roots not just winning laurels, but taking on resurgence of Bollywood. The most horrendous scenario of 7/11 train blasts in Mumbai would never fade from the pages of everyone's life. It had intensively deteriorated innocents' lives from the topmost tycoon to a platform cobbler. Nishikanth Kamat's 'Mumbai Meri Jaan' was one such perfect illustration depicting terrorizing incident from perspectives of various characters. The film was too close to everyone's heart and 'A Wednesday' was not an exception. Although, Director Neeraj Pandey hadn't strained getting the flick inclusive of bomb blasts sequences, he had a different show. Of course, it was not such a high-budget project with any Khans or Kapoors. It centered on an individualistic frustration towards atrocious terrorists who are so merciless. On the pars, films based on happening realities at Contemporary Mumbai are swaying with good responses across box-offices. Take for instances, previous week's releases: Hulla and Sona Uravashi's Saas Bahu Aur Sensex. These films had no such aspects of violently glued bloodsheds, but drew clear pictures of Dream City, land of hopes and dreams. Saas Bahu Aur Sensex had the varying phase of India, particularly Mumbai on changing interest of women. Skipping from Saas-Bahu shows to share markets is what coeval ladies of Mumbai opt for. Well, at the other end, Jaideep Varma's satirical comedy 'Hulla' had some knotty incidents of an individual in day-to-day's life.
