Sundeep Kishan is playing the lead role in the movie ‘Okka Ammayi Thappa’. Nithya Menen, who is known for choosing films with strong content, is playing the female lead. The film will be hitting the screens in the last week of May and the censor formalities will be completed later this week. The formal release date will be announced once the censor certification is done. Rajasimha Tadinada is making his debut as a director with this project. He has worked as a writer for many successful films in the past. Well known Hindi actor Ravi Kishen is going to be seen as the villain. “This is a commercial entertainer with a unique plot. Sundeep Kishan and Nithya Menen have given great performances and Chota K Naidu’s cinematography is a big asset”, said director Rajasimha Tadinada. 'Okka Ammayi Thappa' gets clean 'U'
Sundeep Kishan and Nithya Menon starrer Okka Ammayi Thappa has been certified a clean 'U'. Directed by writer-turned-director Rajasimha Thadinada, the film is produced by Bogadi Anjireddy of Cinema Choopistha Maava fame. The film comes with the caption 'All Indians are my brothers and sisters." Coming with a unique screenplay, the thriller will hit the marquee on June 10. Most part (about 60 pc) of the story takes place on a flyover. There seems to be a terrorism element in the script, going by a song. Rajasimha had written the story more than eight years ago. Sundeep Kishan is playing a college-goer in this film and he is hopeful of delivering a big commercial hit. Ravi Kishan, the villain of Race Gurram and Kick2 fame, is playing the antagonist here. Nearly for one-and-a-half hours, there will be graphics. The director is banking on Chota K Naidu's cinematography as well. Ali, Ajay, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Rao Ramesh, Rahul Dev, Prudhvi, Saptagiri, and Tagubothu Ramesh are part of the cast. Music is by Mickey J Meyer, Editing is by Gautham Raj, and story, screenplay, and dialogues are by Rajasimha himself

Mahesh Babu rarely endorses any film unless he really likes it. The last time he really extended support for a film was when his brother-in-law Sudheer Babu's Baaghi released. Now, Mahesh has extended support to Sundeep Kishan-starrer Oka Ammayi Thappa, which is slated to release on June 10. Mahesh recently watched the film's trailer and really appreciated the makers. Director Rajasimha showed the theatrical trailer of the movie to Mahesh Babu recently and Mahesh, and the Pokkiri impressed with the visuals, asked details about the story and he went on to commend the visual effects quality in the trailer as well. "I have known Mahesh Babu sir since Takkari Donga. He loved the trailer and appreciated me. I am very grateful to him," said director Rajasimha Tadinada. The film also stars Nithya Menen, Revathy and Ravi Kishan among others.
Okka Ammayi Tappa’s concept attracting many
Now, with only less than three days to go for the release of Sundeep Kishan’s Okka Ammayi Tappa, things are looking quite encouraging for the film. Sundeep Kishan is trying out some very innovative ways of promoting the film and looks like they have surely created a good buzz. But keeping all this aside, it is the unique concept of the film that has got the common audience interested. The film is set on top of the Hyderabad’s famous hitech city flyover and at least 70 % of the film happens there.
