More news →Brilliant one-liners in 'Once Upon A Time...': Imran Khan
Imran Khan says his upcoming film "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara" has very catchy one-liners which the writer had even highlighted for the actors in the script. "There are brilliant one-liners in this film. When I was reading the script, I was surprised by them," the 30-year-old said here here Friday while promoting the film at a radio station. "Rajat Arora, our writer, wrote the one-liners in the script in caps so that everyone who is reading the script knows this is an important dialogue where you have to perform, where the shot will be low angle trolley shot, those are the lines," he added. "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara" is a period gangster drama and also stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha. It is a sequel to 2010 hit "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai". The film carries forward Ajay Devgn's famous dialogue from the first film "Dua Mein Yaad Rakhna" and Imran got to mouth it this time. "We have maintained 'Dua Mein Yaad Rakhna,' that is my line. Then there are more like 'Aslam ko samajhne ke liye dimaag nahin dil lagta hai', this is my favourite. Then there is 'Khuda itni zehmat kar, bande par thodi rehmat kar.' Aslam has 2-3 pet lines," Imran said. It hits theatres Aug 15.
Jackie, Anil inspire Imran's look in 'Once Upon A Time..
Imran Khan, who plays a gangster in forthcoming underworld drama "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara", has taken inspiration from the 1980s stars Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor for his look in the film. "I wanted to model this character on the 1980s heroes, especially the biggest ones then like Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor. They were the biggest style icons of the 1980s," the 30-year-old said here Friday while promoting the film at Radio City. "This boy is from Dongri and obviously he will watch Hindi films and he will be inspired by his heroes. So, I have taken a lot of inspiration from Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor for styling, shoes, hairstyle and moustache. So, the whole look has been inspired by that," he added. Right looks for characters in period dramas are important. "When you are making a period film, it is very important to convince the audience that the film has actually been set in a particular time period. Every single detail is very important, like how collars were done and hair were styled," Imran said. "If there is one little thing that is out, they will get pulled out of the film. They will stop believing that it is a 1980s film," he added. Directed by Milan Luthria, "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara" also stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha. A sequel to Balaji Motion Picutres' 2010 hit "Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai", "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara" hits theatres Aug 15.

Sharman does a drag once again
Trust Sharman Joshi to evoke laughter in auditoriums every time he makes an appearance. While 'Golmaal' has been fetching rave reviews all over for its entire starcast, one youngster who has benefited in a big way from the response to the flick is Sharman Joshi. While he plays an integral part of the script, one can't miss the sequence when he gets into female attire in one of his trademark sequences that he has perfected over the period of time. In a hilarious sequence that never breaches the line of vulgarity, he dresses up as a young nubile micromini'nshort-top attired girl who fools her way into a garage and runs away with a sports car from the owner [Mukesh Tiwari]. No wonder the sequence has turned into a hit, both with single screen as well as the multiplex crowd. One such memorable sequence by Sharman was in his first hit 'Style' where he, along with the other hero Sahil Khan, stays as girls in hostel! It's not just the body language but the entire tone and accent that Sharman has perfected while acting as a girl!
