Vamshi Paidipalli's magnum opus, Oopiri, is all set to have a grand audio launch. Producers PVP Cinema have announced that the audio of Oopiri will be launched on the 1st of March at Novotel Hitex Convention Centre. Oopiri is tipped to be an intriguing script dealing with the emotions between two friends from totally different walks of life. Director Vamshi, who is on a hat trick after the stupendous success of Brindavanam and Yevadu, has a ear for good music and he has once again managed to get some melodious and foot tapping numbers from Music Director Gopi Sunder. Starring Nagarjuna Akkineni, Karthi, Tamannah, Jayasudha, Prakash Raj, Ali, Kalpana and others, Oopiri's lyrics were written by Sirivennela Seetarama Sastry and Ramajogayya Sastry. The songs in this album were rendered by Shankar Mahadevan, Karthik, Ranjith, Suchithra, Vijay Prakash, Haricharan and Geetha Madhuri. Both Vamshi Paidipalli and PVP Cinema are extremely delighted with the outcome of Oopiri Music Album and planned out a grand launch on the 1st of March. In a departure from routine, this multi-starrer will have multi-anchors for the audio launch. TV Superstar Suma and Glamour Anchor Anasuya are going to anchor Oopiri audio launch. With the announcement of the Audio launch, the countdown for a grand global release of Oopiri has begun.
Oopiri achieves rare feat
Content driven films where the hero is not shown in a traditionally glamorous way do not usually end up as commercial blockbusters. But the movie Oopiri has bucked this trend, to cross the 100 Crore gross mark. With this feat, the film has earned it’s place among the list of highly successful movies in Telugu. This figure is a sum of its total worldwide collections, including the Tamil version. Nagajuna and Karthi played the lead roles in this excellent adaptation of The Intouchables. Director Vamshi Paidipally handled the movie in a very mature and sensible way and this endeared the film to viewers. Tammah sizzled in a glamorous but polished role while actors like Shriya and Prakash Raj chipped in with good performances. The movie was produced by PVP Cinema.
Oopiri Total Loss 21 Crores?
King Nagarjuna's 'Oopiri' received huge appreciation from the critics for its message oriented content and decent performances by the artists. Moreover, the movie stood as a profitable venture in the US. However, the film couldn't live upto the expectations in Telugu states. The other day, it was reported that Potluri Vara Prasad, the producer of the film, had complained against director Vamshi Pydipalli who made Dril Raju and Aswini Dutt replacing Pvp as the producers of Prince Mahesh's new film. The producer also complained that he had incurred the losses of Rs.21 crores with 'Oopiir' due to high investments on the project. He seeks compensation for these losses from 'Oopiri' director Vamshi Pydipally.Pvp hasn't stopped here. He approached Madras High Court and got injunction orders against Vamshi and his writers Harikrishna and Solomon to get them refrain from using Pvp's script for Mahesh's film.
Oopiri Single release on Feb 29th
Tamannah who is the leading lady in Vamshi Paidipalli's Oopiri will be releasing a single from the album on Monday (29/02/16). PVP cinema, the producers of Oopiri, have announced that the music of Oopiri has come out very well and Tamannah along with Director Vamshi will be releasing one of the melodious songs on all the FM channels on the 29th so that the listeners can get a sneak preview into the foot tapping music. Name of the single is Oka Life rendered by Karthik with lyric penned by Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry. National award winning music Director Gopi Sunder has composed music for Oopiri and the audio is going to be launched in a grand manner at Novotel Hitex Convention Centre on Tuesday 01/03/16.
