The romantic pair Karthi-Tamannaah starrer much anticipated flick of the year ‘Paiyaa’, has finally announced its release date. The movie which was planned to hit the screens in February has confirmed its releasing date on April 2. The film is directed by Lingusamy and produced by Subash Chandra Bose and the distribution rights have been acquired by Dayanidhi Azhagiri’s Cloud Nine Movies. Paiyaa has given ‘U’ certificate by the censor board. Yuvan Shankaraja’s music is already rocking among the audience. Bollywood actor and model Milind Soman is also playing an important character in the movie.
Karthi’s speed made ‘Paiyaa’ easy!
The ace director Lingusamy is scared by seeing the driving speed and skills of Karthi during the shooting of ‘Paiyya’. Recently, the shots on road journey have been completed and Karthi’s driving speed made all things easy for the director and cameraman while shooting. The energetic filmmaker Lingusamy said “As the shots related to motion were being shot with the lead pair Karthi and Tamannah inside a moving car for most part of the film, it became difficult for me and the cameraman to shoot those shots. But Karthi, who has to drive the car according to the script, has moved the wheel of the car so perfectly how we wanted the car to turn in a particular angle at a particular speed in a particular direction.” Lingusamy also said that if anyone is planning to remake films like ‘Driven’ or ‘Days of Thunder’ or the ‘Fast and Furious’ sequences one can chose Karthi as a perfect man.
Celebrities at Paiyaa Premiere
Karthi and Tamannaah starrer much hyped movie ‘Paiyaa’ which was released on April 2 is doing great business in the opening weekend at the box-office. Many celebrities from kollywood have turned out for Paiyaa premiere on Friday night at Sathyam cinemas. Noteworthy among the attendees were Vijay and Sangeetha, Venkat Prabhu, Premji Amaran, Jai, Parthiban, Vivek, Silambarasan, Krish Sangeetha, Sibiraj, Revathi, Gautham Menon and Vishnuvardhan. Along with them, film lead couple Karthi and Tamannaah was also present at the show. Sources say that the movie has got good opening reviews in both urban and rural ceners and even the promotional events are being made for the film publicity in Chennai.

According to the press note released yesterday, music director Yuvan Shankar Raja announced that as the music of Paiyaa has been successful, a new song would be added to the film and a new CD would be released to coincide with the movie release in April. Famous music directors Yuvan Shankar Raja, Thaman, Dharan, James Vasanthan and Karthik Raja honoured ‘Think Music’ at a meeting held to put out their future proposals.
Suriya's 'Haiku' is now 'Pasanga 2'
Actor Suriya's upcoming Tamil production "Haiku", a children's drama, has been renamed "Pasanga 2". "It was a decision taken keeping in mind the request of distributors. Also, 'Haiku' is not a recognised Tamil word and this would mean no tax exemption. Hence, we decided to change the title to 'Pasanga 2'," the film's director Pandiraj, told. He also clarified that the film is not a sequel to his National Award winning Tamil children's drama "Pasanga". Starring Suriya and Amala Paul in cameos, the film is said to address the theme of attention deficit disorder (ADD) among children.
Suriya not playing a cameo in 'Pasanga 2'
Contrary to reports, actor Suriya is not playing a cameo in his upcoming Tamil home production "Pasanga 2", but will be essaying a 40-minute role in the children's film, which is gearing up for release. "Suriya is playing an extended role; it's not a cameo. He will be appearing for about 40 minutes in the film," a source from the film's unit told . The film is about children suffering from attention deficit disorder, and Suriya will be essaying the role of a teacher. Actress Amala Paul plays a cameo in the film, which is directed by Pandiraj. Produced by 2D Entertainment, the film is gearing up for release soon.
