More news →'Pilla Dorikithe Pelli' to go to sets on June 11
Produced by MS Vasu on the banner of Sri Gayatri Films, the shooting of 'Pilla Dorikithe Pelli' introducing Vijayakrishna as director with Baladitya as hero would be launched on June 11. Announcing this, producer MS Vasu says, 'There will be four heroines in the film and it would start roll on June 11. It is an out and out comedy film with family subject in its backdrop. Vijayakrishna had worked as co-director for several Tamil films and we are introducing him as director through 'Pilla Dorikithe Pelli'.' Presently Baladitya is playing hero in 'Sandhya' under the direction of Ganamurali in which Gayatri is playing as heroine. Immediately after the completion of the current project, Baladitya would join the shooting of this film.
'Pilla Dorikithe Pelli' completes 75% shoot
Over 75 per cent shooting of 'Pilla Dorikithe Pelli' directed by Vijayakrishna and produced by MS Vasu on the banner of Sri Gayatri Films with Baladitya, Pravallika and Geeta Singh in the lead was completed. The film was shot for about 9 days at Sivasai Temple in Kanchikacharla of Krishna district recently. With this the first schedule of the film was complete. The second schedule would begin on September 6 and would continue till 16 in Hyderabad. Three of the songs in the film would be shot in Singapore, Malaysia and Bangkok. Baladitya had got a character which is similar to the ones played by Rajendra Prasad, Naresh and Allari Naresh earlier which gave them a good break as artistes. AVS, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao and others are in the cast. The film is slated for release in November.
‘Pilla Zamindar’,’but conditions apply’!
Nani, Bindu Madhavi, Haripriya starrer ‘Pilla Zamindar’ is filming at brisk progress. The film has a tag line ‘but conditions apply’. Ashok G who has earlier won Golden Nandi for children film titled ‘Ushodayam’ is directing this flick. Dammalapati Srinivasa Rao and S.S. Buchibabu are jointly producing it on the banner of Sri Shailendra Movies Speaking about the flick, the director says, “The film projects the hero as a rich guy who goes to college to show off his wealth and to spend money like water instead of concentrating on studies. However, he gets into trouble one day and the way he comes out of the trouble is the rest of the story. In order to justify this point, we kept a tagline to our film ‘But Conditions Apply’. Other supporting cast includes Santosh, Ranadheer, Nagineedu, MS Narayana, Rao Ramesh and Viswanath Kasi etc.
Pokiri Pilla to release in Dec 2nd week
The Malayalam hit film 'Lanka' directed by AK Shahan with Suresh Gopi and Mamta Mohandas in the lead is being dubbed into Telugu by Kethireddy Harish Reddy under the banner Dhruti Cinema as 'Pokiri Pilla'. The film was reportedly made based on real life incidents that occurred in Sri Lanka. The glamour of Mamta Mohandas and the performance of Suresh Gopi are expected to make the film a big hit in Telugu as well. It is an action-packed film and the dubbing works are in progress. It is planned to be released in the second week of December
Pokiri Pilla for release on Dec. 23
The super hit Malayalam film, 'Lanka' directed by Hasan with Suresh Gopi and Mamta Mohandas in the lead, is being dubbed into Telugu as 'Pokiri Pilla', by KC Reddy and Jaganmohan Reddy. The film has been made based on some real-life incidents that occurred in Sri Lanka. The performance by Suresh Gopi would definitely attract the audiences very much. Mamta Mohandas' glamour would attract the youth and mass audiences and the actor has now got a chance in 'Yamadonga', the forthcoming film of NT Ramarao, to be directed and produced by Rajamouli for Viswamitra Creations. The film would complete all the formalities and would be released on December 23 as a Christmas gift.
'Gajuvaka pilla..' makes a comeback
After the disastrous performance of 'Tulasi Dalam', RP Patnaik is making an effort to bounce back with a never-say-die-spirit. His next film 'Manalo Okadu' is up for release. Starring RP Patnaik and Anitha Reddy in key roles, the film has Sai Kumar, Nasser, Tanikella Bharani, Jayaprakash Reddy, Srimukhi, Raghubabu, Banjerjee, Gollapudi Maruthirao, Raja Ravindra, Duvvasi Mohan and others are part of the cast. Producer Jaganmohan says, "This is the story of an ordinary lecturer named Krishna Murthy. This film has been made based on real-life incidents. The film will be a bigger hit than 'Broker'. Cinematography is by SJ Siddharth. Editing is by Uddhav. Dialogues are by Tirumal Nag. RP is the music director. He has written the story and screenplay as well. The film marks the return of the famous 'Gajuvaka pilla..' of 'Nuvvu Nenu' fame after many years. After her debut film in Telugu became a blockbuster, the choosy actress went on to act in films like 'Sriram' and 'Ninne Ishtapaddanu' in Telugu, besides doing Bollywood and Hindi television (read 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' and 'Kavyanjali'). GC Jagan Mohan is producing the film on Uni Craft Movies Banner. The audio release of the movie is slated for August 27.
