Priya Anand who has debuted with the film ‘Leader’ in Telugu film industry will be soon seen pairing opposite Siddharth. The film is a bilingual one which will be made in Telugu and Tamil versions. The Tamil version of the film is titled as ‘Putham Pudhu Kaalai’ while the Telugu version is not yet titled. This project is being directed by Jayendra and will be produced by Kiran Reddy of ‘Sathyam Cinemas’ and C. Srikanth of ‘Aghal Films’ jointly. KT Balasubramaniem will crank the camera for the film. The movie is said to be shot on the RED one camera. The film-makers are planning to take the film on to floors in the month of June. Related Posts
Priya Dutt Releases the Music of the Movie "UNNS"
The maker of the film Bhupender Gupta said that the Mahurat of the film was done by Sunil Dutt Saheb. The movie UNNS is dedicated to Late Sunil Dutt Ji, as for the first time in the film industry the first shot was done and directed by Sunil Dutt on 24the Mar'05. Speaking about the music, the director of the film said that the music is supported by equally aesthetic theme based by background score, medium to highly charged emotions balanced with light moments form the highlight of this unforgettable 2 hours 25 minutes socially sentient family drama. The glazing star cast of UNNS who were present in the event were Sanjay Kapoor, Rituparna Sengupta, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sujeet Shetty the Music Director, Lyrics writer Shaahen Iqbal and Producer and Director Bhupendra Gupta also the politicians who were associated with the venture of the music launch were Mukul Vashnik (General Secretary of All India Council), Pawan Kumar Bansal (Ministry of State Finance), Sanjay Dutt, Baba Siddiqui (Urban Development Minister of Maharashtra Government), Dhyanu Dass (Das Music). Rituparna said that the music of the film goes with the theme and the public will highly acknowledge it. Sanjay Kapoor present on the occasion said that Music of the film has been composed keeping in minding the current taste of the public. The critically acclaimed Music Album has 6 meaningful and melodious Songs sung by Versatile Singers like Sonu Nigam, Abhijeet, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Shreya Ghoshal and Sunidhi Chauhan. The music has been released by the music company Das Music.
Priya firms up her plans
Director Priya, whose maiden directorial venture Kanda Naal Mudhal, won appreciation from the film buffs and had a decent run at the box office, is gearing up for her next venture. According to reports, Priya's next film would be produced by actor-director K Bhagyaraj. She has reportedly come up with a story which convinced Bhagyaraj. Search is on for a hero and once the cast is finalized, the movie will hit the floors. Priya, a one-time associate of director Manirathinam made her debut with Kanda Naal Mudhal, produced by actor Prakash Raj.
Priya Mani's hopes on her forthcoming release Paruthi Veeran
Priya Mani, introduced by Bharathiraja in Kangalal Kaidhu Sei, had acted in half-a-dozen films, the young actress is pinning all her hopes on her forthcoming release Paruthi Veeran. She says, 'I learnt the art of waiting patiently to strike the right chord in films. I carry with me the rich experience of working with Bharathiraja and Balu Mahendra (Adhu Oru Kanaa Kalam). Now with Paruthi Veeran, I am more confident to face the camera.' Is she moving towards offbeat films? No, says Priya Mani. 'It's quite rare for heroines to get meaty roles. Fortunately all my films so far projected me in a prominent role. Everyone expected me to climb greater heights after Adhu Oru Kanaa Kalam. But it did not do well. But I am confident that Paruthi Veeran would make amends for it'. Expecting an award for her performance in Paruthi Veeran, Priya Mani has dubbed on her own for the movie. The movie would be released for the Pongal festival.
Priya Raman comes to small screen
Priya Raman, a once popular heroine in Kollywood, will make her debut in small screen with a mega-serial to be telecast in a prominent Tamil channel beginning Monday. Priya Raman, who married actor Ranjith, had acted in a few tele-serials in Malayalam earlier. Girija, directed by Arundhavaraja would be aired in a popular television channel beginning 4 December starring Priya Raman in the title role. Says Priya Raman, 'After marriage, I decided to stay away from acting and involved myself in producing movies. But I got a few offers to act in Malayalam serials.' On doing a Tamil serial, she says, 'The prominent production house AVM approached me to do the role. Moreover, Arundhavaraja narrated a gripping storyline to me. I felt this could be a nice platform to re-launch myself in Tamil.' Girija is targeted at womenfolk. It would have all ingredients to attract them, says the director.

Priya Mani, who has the looks and talent and has acted under top directors like Bharathiraja and Balu Mahendra, is eagerly awaiting the release of Paruthi Veeran. The girl, who is also no slouch in glamour stakes, had a very inertia-filled start to her career. For Paruthi Veeran that is set for Pongal release, the portents are good. Lady Luck has smiled on this damsel in Telugu too. Yes, Priya Mani has found a new niche in Telugu. One of her releases, named Pellaina Kothalo, has been declared a hit. More than that, her performance in the film has been noticed and appreciated. Now she is all set to do a high-stakes movie named Yamadonga with NTR there. So things have actually started to move in the right direction for Priya Mani. Now she has to translate that into viable success in Tamil.
