Actor Sivakarthikeyan's much delayed project "Rajinimurugan", will finally be releasing on 14th January for the Pongal festival.This much expected film will reportedly be releasing in more than 400 screens in Tamilnadu, despite three others films are lined up for release around the same season.Rajini Murugan directed by Ponram, will have Sivakarthikeyan, Keerthi Suresh, Rajkiran, Samuthirakani etc in the lead roles.
'Rajini Murugan' first Tamil blockbuster of 2016
Actor Sivakarthikeyan's Tamil comedy "Rajini Murugan", which released after months of delay on Makar Sankranti last week, has emerged as the industry's first blockbuster of the year. "In the opening weekend, the film raked in over Rs.20 crore worldwide. It's the biggest opening for the Sivakarthikeyan in his career so far. Despite the onslaught of the three other big releases, 'Rajini Murugan' emerged successful," trade analyst Trinath told. Directed by Ponram, the film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Soori and Rajkiran in important roles. Despite mixed reviews, "Rajini Murugan" was lapped up by the masses. "The film has registered fantastic opening everywhere, especially in B and C centres. It has worked extremely well with the masses and family audiences," Trinath said.
Tamanna out of Rajini Murugan?
It was recently reported that director-producer Lingusamy is in talks with milk beauty Tamanna to pair opposite happening actor Siva Karthikeyan in their upcoming film Rajini Murugan. Latest we hear is the filmmaker has dropped the idea. If sources are to be believed, Tamanna is said to have claimed for a huge pay that is offered for her by Tollywood producers, which left Lingusamy in shocks. Apparently the Anjaan director satires saying lots of money seems to be lying idle with Telugu producers and started searching for another heroine. Thirupathi Brothers producing Rajini Murugan is directed by Ponram. Lakshmi Menon is the heroine. Raj Kiran, Samuthirakani and Soori plays crucial roles in the movie. Principal photoshoot of Rajini Murugan happened on Aug 25.
Siva Karthikeyan's Rajini Murugan shooting in TN interiors
The team of actor Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Tamil comedy "Rajini Murugan" will start shooting in the interiors of Tamil Nadu in places such as Madurai and Trichy starting Wednesday for around 40 days. "We've already completed about 50 percent of the film. The rest should be completed in our next schedule in Madurai, Trichy and a few other neighbouring places. We'll shoot non-stop for the next 40 days," Sivakarthikeyan told. "Except for one song, we plan to complete the film in this schedule," he added. Being directed by Ponram, "Rajini Murugan" also features Keerthi Suresh and Soori in important roles. "It will be an out-and-out entertainer. Soori and I have teamed up again to keep the entertainment factor high in the film," he said. Sivakarthikeyan is currently awaiting the release of Tamil police drama "Kaaki Sattai".
SivaKarthikeyan's 'Rajini Murugan' passes the first major test
ctor Sivakarthikeyan who has been delivering back to back super hit films is back with his next ‘Rajini Murugan’ and this film has all good chances of sustaining the actor’s success streak. Director Ponram who debuted with the blockbuster ‘Varuthapadadha Vaalibar Sangam’ with Sivakarthikeyan has directed this as his second film and it is scheduled to hit the screens on September 17. The trailer of the film will release tonight. Meanwhile the film has been viewed by the Censor officials yesterday and they have given a clean ‘U’ certificate for the film without recommending any cuts. This comes as a good news for the makers as the film has passed a major eligibility criteria for the 30% Entertainment Tax exemption granted by the government. Touted to be an out and out comic entertainer. ‘Rajini Murugan’ stars Keethy Suresh opposite Sivakarthikeyan and the supporting cast includes, Soori. Rajkiran. Samuthirakani, Robo Shankar and others. Music has been composed by D.Imman and the film has been produced by N.Lingusamy under the Thirrupathi Brothers banner.
Ready to sell anything to get 'Rajini Murugan' released: Lingusamy
Filmmaker N Lingusamy, who is going through a financial crisis, says he's ready to sell anything to get his upcoming Tamil production venture "Rajini Murugan" released. "These last few months have been very tough for me. Both financially and mentally, it has been a struggle but I haven't given up. I'm ready to sell anything to get our next film 'Rajini Murugan' out on time," Lingusamy told reporters. He was speaking at the audio launch of "Rajini Murugan", which features Sivakarthikeyan and Keerthi Suresh in the lead. "I need to thank my team for standing by me in this difficult phase of my career. I look at this as a new beginning. The first half of my career is over, this is the second half," he said. Reportedly, Lingusamy owes lot of money to people in the industry. His debtors plan to stall of release of "Rajini Murugan" until dues are settled. For the title "Rajini Murugan", Lingusamy sought the permission of superstar Rajinikanth, who immediately gave his nod with no objection. He also said that his next Tamil directorial "Sandakozhi 2" will go on floors soon. "The pre-production work has already started. Actor Vishal and I team up again for the sequel of 'Sandakozhi'. Imman will compose the tunes, while Rajkiran and Soori will essay important roles," he said. Lingusamy is yet to finalise the heroine for the project.
